Why that would be seriously stupid of them, they signed an agreement not to build nukes and then that got pulled out from under them. Then you have the example of Ukraine to show why giving up your nukes is a bad idea.

Given the mess that the US made of landing on D-day it is not a good go to for the POTUS, the Canadians and Brits did it better!
That's sizes it up. The D-Day landings was the largest single military operation in the history of mankind. 11,000 planes, 7,000 ships, and 160,000 allied soldiers. It took more than a year of planning. My understanding is the bombing in Iran involved about 125 aircraft. Mostly support aircraft.
Well they hit a lot of Frenchmen so that is a victory in itself.

The British tend to think that the resistance on the British and Canadian beaches was more ineffective because of the decision to use tanks in the first wave.
