yeah he’s basically saying they’d have to admit the dems are correct that we need to raise taxes and that would make them look bad. just like the border bill, addressing the actual problem isn’t the primary concern of the trump admin as much as winning political games.

Donald's big deal isn't as good as he made out, that beef isn't going to get in whatever the tonnage is.

The government has insisted that American hormone-treated meat will not start to seep into the UK market, following the tariff deal agreed this week that boosts the trade in beef in both directions.

"The rules on food standards have not changed and they will not change as a result of the deal," said Chief Secretary to the Treasury Darren Jones.

He added that the agencies responsible for border safety checks would be able to test meat for traces of hormone with "consequences" for anyone breaking the law.

Holy mother of dystopian hell. I listen to podcasts with automatic ads, and, living in Mexico as I do, I just got an "ad" from the US government warning me (in Spanish) not to enter the country illegally because the Trump administration is protecting its border with troops. Jesus.
