Trump's Second Term

The right Matthew Livelsburger's LinkedIn page, apparently:
Resist Times on X, Dec 2, 2025
BREAKING: Matthew Livelsberger, 37, identified as the driver of the Cybertruck that exploded in Las Vegas, is listed on LinkedIn as an Operations Director and Intelligence Manager.Served at the same military base as the terrorist responsible for the attack in New Orleans.
One of his listed skills: Computer Networking Technology Integration.

I still think that he sounds more like a techbro than an Islamic fundamentalist.
The MAGA movement would prefer the perpetrator to be a foreigner, preferably an immigrant, attacking Trump and Musk. Or a Democrat. Or a deep-state agent. Somebody who is not a part of MAGA.
I still hope he's a disgruntled techbro.

If this is the guy, I think he worked alone. If he was in group, the others also wouldn't have known much about explosives, which is surprising considering his background as an army man.

I mean, given how they tried to paint even the Jan 6th rioters as Antifa, you know they will call him a liberal or put the blame on us either way.

Elon says

The evil knuckleheads picked the wrong vehicle for a terrorist attack. Cybertruck actually contained the explosion and directed the blast upwards.

Not even the glass doors of the lobby were broken
Of course all his fanboys are agreeing.
Apparently the US Army should switch to the Cybertruck in place of the Humvee.

Elon is a genius, his truck thwarted a terrorist attack.
I'm sure the US Army would be delighted to have explosions contained within its vehicles with no damage outside.

Still some confusion about the identity of the guy - and about the spelling: Is it Livelsburger or Livelsberger?
What Matthew Livelsberger's Social Media Reveals about Cybertruck Suspect (Newsweek, Jan 2, 2024)
Livelsberger was active on LinkedIn, and often commented on posts from colleagues in the military. In a comment on one post about student debt, he responded to a question asking who was responsible for debts saying, "The govt."
The LinkedIn profile also lists that he was interested in human rights and animal welfare.
Nothing yet that says MAGA or Islamic fundamentalist - or disgruntled techbro.

Apparently the cybertruck and the vehicle used in the New Orleans attack were both rented using the Turo app. That doesn't constitute concrete proof. But it is highly suspicious.

I laughed when CNN played "My Way" during Trump's exit takeoff on his last day in office. But I thought that would be the end of it. I'm trying to think, what would be an appropriate grand re-entrance tune? FFS, he's still talking about coming down the escalator in 2015.

Creep.

I don't care if it hurts, I wanna have control
I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul
I want you to notice when I'm not around
You're so ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ special, I wish I was special

[Chorus]
But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo
What the hell am I doin' here?
I don't belong here...

No way, that's an awesome song, and Trump does not deserve to have anything to do with it.

Looks like a suicide.

Relevant extract:

Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill said at a news conference that a handgun was found at the feet of the man who was identified as Livelsberger.

Officials believe he killed himself before the blast.

it’s for sure a suicide but the vehicle and location are significant, and even more strange when you get into his background and social media activity. and the similarities with the new orleans attack, it’s very bizarre

I remember in the 80s there was this movie about a Veteran who was so haunted by his trauma and so mistreated by the police that he was driven into a violent rampage."

He was turned it into a Saturday morning cartoon for kids with action figures.

How about the dramatic 1897 military march "Entry of the Gladiators"? He could probably be convinced to use it based on the name alone.
(It's been used for something else for quite a while.)

Good choice! But best done on a calliope.
(There's also a great risk of spell-check correcting the composer's name in a way that might not be desired.)
(Btw, wouldn't that be one where you clap on 1 and 3?)

For me, "Taps" would fit, given that Trump's ascendancy will likely mean an end to the USA as I've known it.
