Indeed, the sparks are suspicious. If you want to make damage. And it's obviously not a battery fire or something like that.
Now if you want to make a media statement .. sparks are great choice.
 
I too am wondering if this is a political statement (can't bring myself to bring out the t-word). As a side note, between the threat from Dump's fascism and the way he's been deliberately stoking the flames for eight years, there will be more of them. The next four years (if we're lucky and this only lasts four years) will be one ◊◊◊◊ of a bumpy ride.

well idk i haven’t seen enough ev explosions to know what they look like. tesla has notoriously poor quality controls and the cybertruck has a know battery issue. that said, who knows there’s so many insane violent people surrounding trump and elon musk’s brand of politics that you can’t really rule that out either.

either way, these guys are knee deep in whatever this was.

We have now confirmed that the explosion was caused by very large fireworks and/or a bomb carried in the bed of the rented Cybertruck and is unrelated to the vehicle itself.

All vehicle telemetry was positive at the time of the explosion.

What's the weather been like in Las Vegas? Or did it recently come from somewhere colder and wetter? I just saw elsewhere that road salt combined with sufficient moisture has caused shorts and fires related to corroded connectors.

That's what I've been doing for the last two months. If Mango Moron comes on, I switch channels. I refuse to listen to this turd.

Not sure about the weather right now, but I doubt they use salt in Vegas any day of the year.
The explosion clearly comes from the bed. The batteries are at the bottom, and they are constructed so that in the case of fire people inside are safe (relatively speaking). Also it's clearly fireworks.
I understand people hating Cybertruck and Musk, but talking nonsense won't help your case.
