Easiest way to keep Greenland out of the USA is to set the buying price too high. A couple of trillion dollars should do it, and money in the bank first. Trumpy could try bankrupting the USA to buy a lot of snow.

The whole idea of 'buying' Greenland is entirely irrelevant, as Denmark is party to various treaties that explicitly states that land can't be bought or sold. The only way Greenland could become a part of the US, would be for them to declare independence, followed by the US going through the stages of making Greenland a territory or whatever they intend to.

Greenland has once again said it is not for sale after US President-elect Donald Trump said he wanted to take control of the territory.
"Greenland belongs to the people of Greenland," its prime minister said on Monday, a day after Trump repeated comments about the Arctic island that he first made several years ago.
