Trump's Second Term

I wonder if there are any sort of behind-the-scenes discussions about moving the world cup to another country.

(Of course, the world cup has been held in countries before that have had even worse human-rights abuses, such as Russia, but given how... unstable... the US is, that must be making organizers more than a little nervous.)
No, cueball head has gone all-in on dictatorships since becoming head of FIFA.

trump is getting closer to being a cueball head himself. that ◊◊◊◊ is getting thin

Donald J. Trump
@realDonald Trump
Big News Conference tomorrow morning at 10:00 A.M., The Oval Office, concerning a MAJOR TRADE DEAL WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF A BIG, AND HIGHLY RESPECTED, COUNTRY. THE FIRST OF MANY!!!

Donald's big announcements a trade deal with the UK it seems.

Starmer giving details later

In return he's going to get Windsor Castle & Great Park for a Hotel/Golf Course, obviously we'll have to move Heathrow Airport. He can't figure out why anyone would be stupid enough to build a castle under the flight path, but what's done is done..

The dispute over whichever misnaming of the
Bitter Sea is correct has been going on since the mid 60's. It's internationally known as the Persian/Iranian Gulf since that country has the largest anount of coastline bodering it.

Stick with that, Trump loves when things are named after him.

By the way according to Trump, India and Pakistan have been at war for centuries. Now of course one can be flexible and think he meant Hindus and Muslims, and not the neighboring countries he referred to, which only became neighbors in 1948, but should we, once again?

To be fair hindus and muslims being at war with each other on the subcontinent for religious reasons is an artifact of the Raj.

Not a cult

Miller: I had the pleasure of getting to be at the meeting today between the President of the United States and the prime minister of Canada. What I witnessed was like watching a grand master in chess perform.
what Miller sees when picturing chess:

Trump is not expected to know what is in the Constitution. So he really "does not know."

Donald Trump has just posted again on Truth Social and says: "The agreement with the United Kingdom is a full and comprehensive one that will cement the relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom for many years to come.

"Because of our long time history and allegiance together, it is a great honour to have the United Kingdom as our FIRST announcement. Many other deals, which are in serious stages of negotiation, to follow!"

That's not what the UK side seem to be saying

Doubtless the same newspapers that trumpeted Tory letters of understanding with individual states as 'Trade Deals' will have nothing but praise for Starmer, right? Right?
I like you are certain this will be heralded as a great trade deal by our mainstream press. I'm assuming this is why Farage hasn't had time to do any MP surgeries as he's been working on this being that Starmer wouldn't be able to get a trade agreement with the USA unless Farage brokered it.

Want a bet on whether the BBC article about it will have a comment from Reform or not?

Here in Australia we thought we had a trade agreement negotiated with the USA but Trump just unilaterally tore it up on "Liberation Day".

In the UK it isn't celebrated as a victory day, it's celebrated as Armisticy or Remembrance day.
Also "celebrated" is not the right term. Commemorated is more the thing. It's a solemn remembrance, not a victory parade. Particularly as Germany did not surrender on Nov.11th, it was only an armistice - a ceasefire which eventually led to surrender.

<Sorry, just repeating stuff that's already been said. Not on the ball at all today.>

Trampy's so desperate for a "trade" "deal" that reflects well on him, that the only country desperate enough to give him what he wants jumps from the back to the front of tge queue inside of a week.

Well done, Keir!
