Trump's Second Term

Ukraine was for much of Obama's time a virtual Russian client state. They had to get their state organised after the Maidan revolution. When Russia took Crimea Ukraine was simply incapable of defending itself. America was not going to intervene directly. The US and Russia have always tried to avoid direct confrontation.

When Ukraine showed it could stand up for itself during the general invasion it demonstrated an ability to defend itself.

Biden was always very cautious about weapons and rules for using them because Putin kept threatening escalation and the MAGA crowd were shouting about imminent nuclear war.
Pretty much sums it up. Ukraine's desire to be autonomous is what led to internal coups in Crimea, the Donetzk and Donbass regions.

Every time I think there is no way Trump could say anything more insane than his last comment, he proves me wrong...
Here he is, describing their bromance...which in and of itself establishes that Trump is equally as trustworthy as the world's other best known murderous dictator, and his choice of words keeps getting more and more bizarre... "It turned out we were right" --So, he needed confirmation of his own delusions?? He needed independent verification that the lies they were telling each other weren't lies? How long do we have to wait for the 25th to be invoked?? I would not be surprised at this point if he suddenly starts blabbing about his time on Epstein Island, when he and his best pal Jeff would discuss how their mutual love of 'nubile young girls' would someday be proven to be a hoax perpetrated by his fellow Democrats...
I'd like to hear more details about these phone calls.

Trump gave Ukraine weapons before the general invasion.

In case this isn't clear, I'm not claiming Obama was wrong not to. But it would have been easy for Trump to continue that policy, and for the same stated reason. But he did not. That wasn't the choice of someone in Putin's pocket.
Biden was always very cautious about weapons and rules for using them because Putin kept threatening escalation and the MAGA crowd were shouting about imminent nuclear war.
Sure, that's why those rules existed. Both under Biden and under Trump.

They went through the Russia Russia hoax together.

Trump: "I saw a very interesting President Putin today. I mean, he wants to see it happen. He wants to see it. He told me very strongly. I believe him. Don't forget, we went through the Russia Russia Russia hoax together and he'd call me, I'd call him, I'd say 'Can you believe the stuff they're making up?' It turned out we were right. They made it all up."

JFC can he just concentrate on the matter at hand and not whine about his own personal grievances for just a few seconds?
No. Of course he can't. What was I thinking?

Pachinko balls, smooth brain. His team just wind him up like a clockwork toy every morning. Nothing Trump says in public has any relevance or gravitas any more. It's all just the same old geriatric mouth sounds - rotten farts emanating from both ends of him now. Zelenskyy knows this is the situation all too well.

The 25th has come and gone, yet Trump is still President. And I was a good boy all year!

Oh, wait, you meant that other "25th"

There was very little internal about those three coups, Putain found two Chalabis for Donetsk and Lugansk and installed them with regular army units and the insurrection in Crimea was ran straight out of Russian bases in Sevastopol and quickly transitioned from proxies to regular soldiers because the proxies were so useless.

Because no immigrants worked on any of them.

Stephen Miller
@StephenM
Someone should write an alternate historical novel where Americans are the first to master the automobile, the first in flight, the first to harness the atom, the first to land on the moon — but just keep going and never open our borders to the entire third world for sixty years

I suspect that Stephen Miller read, and really liked, Philip Roth's the Plot Against Ameria, but hated the ending, so he is now trying to reenact it, but with a different ending.

i agree i don't think it's conclusively real or fake

the doj has been selectively redacting and releasing their own pieces of the epstein files, think of michael jackson with his own kids with their faces blacked out and a few other people and names, that i believe they may have put a few red herrings in there. much like the steele dossier and the pee tape, it's something people want to talk about since it's so controversial, but that's ultimately a little silly and irrelevant distraction
Well whatever anyone thinks, I am pretty damned sure Fat Orange Turd loyalists in the currently MAGA controlled DoJ are furiously "sanitizing" all of the million plus documents in the Epstein Files to ensure that any mention of Dear Leader (or any other of the MAGA cult) partaking in the "services" offered by Epstein and Maxwell is deleted, with only benign mentions being left in place. I have no evidence for this, other than its seems obvious self-preservation for someone who is desperate to control the narrative, and has the necessary access and the loyalists to do that job.

the fbi had spent weeks scrubbing the files for mentions of trump, and others not limited to victims or minors as the law required. not only did they miss some in this release despite blocking out hundreds of pages of some files completely, there's the millions of files the doj is illegally witholding saying they haven't had time to read through and make redactions on. so, there's been significant efforts to sanitize the files.

I just hope some of the DoJ people who were there before The Fat Orange Turd fired them, made copies that can be leaked.

Trump on Elon Musk: "He knows those computers better than anybody. All those computers. Those vote-counting computers. And we ended up winning Pennsylvania like in a landslide."

Musk knows neither. He is not a computer or software engineer and even if he was, he hadn't performed a necessary deep dive required to do such an analysis. Never mind that Trump's own chief of electronic security did a thorough analysis and determined that no such breech occurred.

And what did he want us to get from that? That where Trump won, Musk had rigged the vote-counting computers, but where Trump lost, somebody else had rigged them?
ALL elections are rigged, in Trump's simplistic view. To him, it's just a question of who they are rigged for.

Yes, but if you turn off his laptop, he can turn it back on!!!
