Great minds think...
Quite contrary. It's possible for the ice officer to have acted out of protocol AND for the victim to have acted recklessly with bad decision-making. You and others are free to disagree, but if you're not going to show any nuance, and instead resort to ad hominems to make your point. Don't expect ME to waste my time entertaining the question.
First off, I haven't "resort(ed) to ad hominems" towards you in this thread at all. Second, as others have pointed out, the nuance is that the ICE agent acted inappropriately, outside of protocol and that is the entire heart of the issue. You can't say "the ICE officer probably acted out of protocol" but still blame the victim.
If you want to talk about taking an instance in a vacuum then your argument loses even more credibility. Do you watch the news? Do you realize that ICE is violently rounding up US citizens and deporting them? Have you seen literal military veterans getting shoved to the ground and arrested? Yet, in the same breath, you're going to accept "their side"? As others have said, why the ◊◊◊◊ would you do that? On what basis are you giving anything they say credence?
