Trump's promised ICE raids have begun

JD Vance
@JDVance
·First of all, she's not waving the officers through and has no right to do so even if she were. She is waving another car through, before the officers approach her car.

Second, the officers are not randomly searching her, they are approaching her vehicle because she is violating the law: namely, she is obstructing a lawful enforcement operation. You're not allowed to walk up to or drive up to people who are enforcing the law to make it harder for them to do their jobs.

Third, this defense attorney is drawing a meaningless distinction between an ICE officer and a "real police officer." Again, you're not allowed to interrupt a lawful enforcement operation, which is exactly what this woman was doing.

Fourth, the officer didn't discharge his weapon to prevent her from fleeing. When he discharged his weapon, she had pointed the vehicle at him and pressed the gas. He discharged his weapon in self defense, and other angles of the video show the woman *clearly* hit the officer with her car while accelerating.

The gaslighting is off the charts and I'm having none of it. This guy was doing his job. She tried to stop him from doing his job. When he approached her car, she tried to hit him.

A tragedy? Absolutely. But a tragedy that falls on this woman and all of the radicals who teach people that immigration is the one type of law that rioters are allowed to interfere with.

Another look...

Who will investigate the shooting? Is it done internally by ICE, or by he FBI, or by the local police? Would a court case be federal or state?
The shooting is being investigated by the FBI and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, working together.

If ICE were being run honestly and competently, ICE would also conduct an internal investigation, but few expect that to happen.

A court case could be federal or state. Few expect a federal case, because Attorney General Pam Bondi would probably interfere with any attempt to bring a federal case; even if such a case were successful, President Trump has already decided the outcome in his own mind and would probably pardon anyone convicted of a federal crime. The state of Minnesota could bring a case, but it's hard for a state to prosecute a criminal case against federal agents; it has been done, but such cases are rarely successful.

We've seen this happen plenty of times with actual cops. Multiple cops barking contravening orders at a person. "Hands on your head!" "Hands in the air!" "Turn around!" "Get on your knees!" "get on your stomach!" That's how that guy in the hotel in Nevada was killed.
Yeah likely one goon said move, the other said stop, so she was unalived for being confused, and/or scared.

But hey, freedom aint free, gotta break some eggs, some 37 year old white lady's life is totally worth it to keep out the foreign invaders.

I'm sure the MAGA's would be saying exactly the same if this was ATF agents searching any cars with pro gun stickers to make sure their SBR's are really legal. (that was sarcasm they'd be screaming that they'll use their 2nd amendment rights to protect themselves from tyranny!!!).

I would say it is going to get better.

What a relief for law enforcement to know they have leaders who actually stand behind them rather than cowering, like a bunch of pussies, to a faux, left-wing outrage mob.

Wild thing to post just a couple days after the anniversary of January 6th when those same leaders turned their backs on the cops who were protecting the Capitol and actually tried to blame them for the insurrection.

The only upside about this is Bondi isn't going to be in office in 3 years (probably sooner, but I digress), and murder doesn't have a statute of limitations. This guy might think he will get off scott free, but that ain't gonna happen. The next administration, assuredly a Dem admin, will prosecute him and I'll be front and center for it.

Tbh... hindsight is 20-20. From the videos I saw, I think the 'domestic terrorism' angle from the administration is a big stretch. The ice officer may also not have been in imminent lethal danger. That said, you have protesters physically obstructing the roads and impeding immigration enforcement. As far as I'm concerned you're dealing with a situation where an officer has to make a split second interpretation on intent and a protestor that refused to comply with orders to exit the vehicle. Her death was completely preventable in more ways than one. I don't think the situation would have escalated the way it did if she had remained calm. But we'll have to see how the investigation shapes out.

ICE has proven to be a lawless rogue agency. There are countless example in this thread. Contextualizing this indecent as a normal encounter with a normal member of law enforcement isn't remotely honest.

Also, murder is a state crime, not federal. Even if the god of the weaklings autopens a pallet full of pardons, it won't help these goons.

situations like this are specifically outlined in police manuals and handbooks. There's decades of precedent.

Reed Richards couldn't get to "domestic terrorism" from that video.
The ice officer may also not have been in imminent lethal danger.
He wasn't.

Good. this is a standard protest action.

Again, police are specifically trained in situations like this. Those goons broke every known protocol. Most agencies specifically forbid firing into or from a moving vehicle.

It always seems to be the case that the onus to be calm is on the untrained civilian, not the government appointed law enforcement official. Which is quite frankly, arse about face.

"Get out of the car. Get out of the car. Get out of the ******* car."

The witness is a liar. CNN, once again, proves it is nothing but a left wing propaganda outlet. Leftists, once again, prove they are gullible idiots or complete liars.

If you're this angry because you think CNN lied, you're really going to lose it when you find out about the lies the Trump administration told about the cops who were protecting the Capitol on January 6th. You know, because of how much you respect law enforcement.
