Trump's nickname.

Castro did become a "petty and compulsive tyrant" * of course, but in his early days he was an able guerrilla leader for a cause bigger than himself and he certainly didn't lack personal courage.

I think think comparison with Trump is probably unfair to Castro.

I guess that ad is aimed at Florida in particular though, will it resonate there?

I came across "Shambling sh*tgibbon of death" in a comments section of a Guardian article. It doesn't really roll off the tongue, but has a certain something about it.

Dr. Keith called Giuliani "Deeptuck" in another thread which really gave me a laugh. Not a Trump nickname but nonetheless, worthy of a mention here.

"President" Trump. Thr Prez in quotes. Actual quotes, when written. Air quotes if spoken. Always the quotes. Never without. Not even when, say, a reporter asks something of Trump: As "President", what would you .... whatver?

Saw this in a post in the other thread. This ought to be adopted, wholesale.

I have to disagree.

He would not have said "OF George" if he were talking TO George Lopez. Trying to spin this and lie is what Trump and his cronies would do. So Biden made a mistake. Big deal. He's human.

But he might have said "UH, George" if he were speaking TO George Lopez (which he was). To my ear, it could be interpreted either way.

But he didn't say "uh'. He very clearly said "of" the first time and "uh" the second time. If you look at the context, it only makes sense if you replace 'George' with 'Four more years of Trump, we're going to find ourselves in a position where, if (he) gets elected…we’re going to be in a different world." He realized he said George instead of Trump, said "uh, George, uh" then tried to complete his original sentence and correct himself by clarifying with "if Trump gets elected" and finishing with "we're going to be in a different world." He absolutely knew he goofed and tried to correct course. Why not just admit it instead of trying to spin it? It's not an admittance that he's senile or Trump is right.

And the character of the country, in my view, is literally on the ballot. What type of country we’re going to be. Four more years of George, uh, George, uh, we’re going to find ourselves in a position where, if Trump gets elected…we’re going to be in a different world.

A new word I have grown to like.

The word, acedia. It describes "a spiritual or mental sloth".

I don't have a nickname yet, but it describes Trump.
