Merged The U.S.A. 2024 Election Political Violence Thread

As Republicans, we are locked and loaded and ready to go.”

The startling comment came from a mother of five and grandmother of two, Vikki Westbrook, as she lined up on Sunday outside an aircraft hangar in rural North Carolina. She had come to hear Donald Trump make one of his last pitches of the 2024 presidential election.

....

Personally, she intended to avoid any trouble that might erupt in the wake of Tuesday’s election, she said. “I have kids, I can’t afford to go to prison. And I don’t like orange.”

It’s her fellow Make America Great Again (Maga) supporters whom she fears might be tempted to take action should the former president lose the election. “At this point, a lot of Republicans aren’t going to take it any longer. They won’t let the election be stolen from us twice.”

Trump, what have you done.

Yeah I said this in the other thread. There won't be a civil war. We saw how disorganised those jokers were on January 6th. There will be a bump in right wing and white supremacist stochastic terrorism, and then maybe Bogative will shut up.

Teenager wearing Trump shirt charged with punching Harris supporter, 70

STUART — With election day just three days away, a teenager and apparent supporter of former President Donald Trump was arrested here Saturday at a rally in support of Vice President Kamala Harris and charged with punching a 70-year-old woman in the stomach.

A 17-year-old boy — wearing a T-shirt featuring an image of Trump raising his middle finger in front of an American flag background — punched the Harris supporter, knocking her off her feet, according to police and the woman, Stuart resident Kathleen Tomasko.

The 17-year-old was arrested once police, hired by the event organizers, arrived on the scene at the north end of the Roosevelt Bridge on U.S. 1. He was charged with battery on a person 65 years of age or over, according to Stuart Police Department spokesperson Brian Bossio.

Such a brave fellow, I mean, scumbag.

While there are plenty of Trump supporters who are holding their noses and voting for him because he's the conservative in the race, it's my feeling that a not inconsiderable portion of them are essentially this kid- no matter how old or what sex they are, they're really just teenage edgelords who would like nothing better than to punch a lib in the belly, and damn all the talk about "policy" and "issues."

Yep, teens and adults living in mom's basement, complaining that they would have girls and a house, if not for the libs. I believe many of them call themselves Incels.

So a fencing practice near to the one I run was asked to cancel their practice this Monday evening. The reason? Well the voting machines are in place where they practice (its a church). This wouldn't be a problem as they could fence in other parts of the area.

But the problem is there is some self-made, self-appointed "election watcher" who has been giving people at the church a lot of grief even before the machines arrived. The pastor was grilled by this person in the parking lot about who had access to the building and when. The guy has been on the block seeming to take note of anyone entering the church (and has apparently accosted a few parishoners). The police have been called and they have talked to the guy, warning him about harassment of people but he is still in the area and the police can't do much. So in the interest of not giving this guy a bunch of fuel they asked that the practice be cancelled since a bunch of people going into the same building as the voting machines is proof that the Dems are rigging the election.

He thinks he can foil the fencing club?

Elections really have some unusual outcomes sometimes: I never thought I'd end up regretting that I don't know enough about fencing!
