This reminds me of an incident I saw on the news not 5 minutes ago. A Florida woman was at home opening a bag of broccoli (with a knife!) when out of the bag popped a snake; its brille-protected eyes staring into her own and its forked-tongue thirsting for blood. The snake lunged for the woman's throat but fortunately at that very instant an alligator (from here on referenced as "gator") made it's way through the doggie door. It was almost 3' long and had little problem making its way past the usually impenetrable barrier. The snake immediately shifted its focus to the gator. The woman found herself with a few precious seconds to formulate a plan. Do I get my gun or do I grab my child, my dog and my cane and limp away from this poorly-written madness? She decided to go for the gun. She aimed the barrell at the battling reptiles and prepared to squeeze the trigger when out of the blue some guy (who was on the lam from Danish authorities because of a bum blasphemy charge but not to worry as it's unenforceable) crept behind her and snapped her neck. She had a gun, this was a post-9/11 world and he wasn't taking any chances.

If I find a link to the story I'll post it.

We do have knife control. Switchblades and stilletos are banned, and you are limited to the lengnth of knife that you can carry around in public. Yet somehow the governemnt and crime hasnt taken over even with these restrictions on knives.

Control does not = outright banning.

Yep, I'm convinced, what we have here is a collection of thinkers who are so concrete in their interpretation as to be nearly cementatious.

Congrats on working the word "cementatious" in there.

If knives are banned I'll have to go on my stabbing rampages with a screwdriver, and I don't think anyone wants that.
