TAM 9 Dates

Dates were announced, but they only told the people who they want to come.

Overheard someone pose that question to DJ... based on the response, I don't think that there's any serious thought to moving it back to January.

One of the reasons stated is that January doesn't work for one of the JREF's latest target audiences - high school and college educators.

They could do two in the U.S: TAM East Coast and TAM West Coast. Unless NECSS is going to be the "east coast" one.

Or, they can split it by subject: TAM Health, TAM Money, TAM Astrophysics, etc.

Or, maybe even by attitude: TAM for Diplomatic Empathizers, TAM for Jerks and Dicks, etc. Though, if that happens I would probably only go to one of them.

TAM for Diplomatic Empathizers wouldn't be the same without you ;)

I am rabidly against splitting it up. Most of the fun for me is seeing the people I don't normally get to see while I'm in my secret identity.

I'm fine with Vegas. I don't care about the heat -- since no one ever goes outside, it makes very little difference where it's held or what time of year it's held. We just need a venue that'll seat everyone.

No matter what they pick, someone is going to be unhappy. So the JREF should pick whatever makes the most sense to them and run with it.
