Two in the unit at the Royal Free assigned to take EVD patients, but with the capacity to add more should there be more cases. There are also EVD isolation units at Royal Liverpool hospital, Sheffield's Royal Hallamshire hospital and the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The protocol for dealing with this disease here was always to send all patients to the Royal Free, unless it is full, in which case patients will be sent to the above three hospitals. However, all hospitals have isolation units which could be used to nurse EVD patients if necessary.I can't help finding some possible contradiction in the assurances of politicians that the British NHS could cope with ebola in Britain, given the succession of failures of major hospital A&E departments to cope with "routine" admissions.
How many isolation tents are there in the London Free Hospital, exactly?
The people, here and elsewhere, suggesting we'd see a million dead by the end of 2014, martial law in the USA et cetera. For example in this thread.Which panic?
Oh, that panic.
I dunno it was a panic exactly. I did stockpile enough food water and fuel so I don't have to go outside till 2019, but I mean , doesn't everyone?
