You thought the "fake moon landing" people were nuts?

That's nothing compared to this:
Satellites are purely science-fiction. All supposed images of satellites in orbit show fake CGI "satellites" orbiting a fake CGI "ball-Earth." First conceived by Freemason science-fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke in 1945, they claim satellites became science-fact soon after. This is impossible for many reasons outlined in the following video, however, including the fact the melting points of the metals used in satellites are far lower than the temperature in the "thermosphere" where satellites supposedly are. Satellites, space stations, the Hubble telescope and space travel in general are absolutely the biggest hoaxes of the century, and NASA the most successful propaganda organization in history.

Ugh... I haven't been able to bring myself to watch the entire video yet. The stupidity... it burns.

ETA: Looking around on his YouTube channel, it's clear that he doesn't just think satellites are fake, he's also a flat-earther. He's even created a 90-minute documentary about it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand the International Space Station is visible with the naked eye, isn't it? How would these nuts explain that away?

He is a fake. There are no flat-earthers - never have been. All those references to a flat Earth in ancient texts were faked! The Bible is a fake! the Internet is a fake! Everything you see is fake! Even your memories are fake CGI! Reality is fake!

Clarke didn't conceive of satellites, he conceived of artificial geostationary satellites, the existence of which is one of the many evidences that the Earth rotates.
Artificial satellites were first mentions in the SF story "The Brick Moon" from 1869, nearly half a century earlier.

And the ISS isn't the only Earth-orbiting satellite visible with the unaided eye.

I was lucky enough to have someone point it out to me a few weeks ago, and watched it track across the sky. It was one of those moments that make me proud to be human.

My current desktop background is a photograph of the night sky that I took a couple of years ago myself during a meteorite shower which has the trace of a satellite going across (30 seconds exposure or something like that). One of the best night skies I have ever seen in summer, a night that was warm enough to lay on the lawn comfortably to look up.

We saw many more satellites than shooting stars with our naked eyes.

And even brighter are Iridium satellites. Their highly polished reflective antennae focus sunlight on a small area (about 10 km across) that sweeps across the Earth's surface. If one of these sweeps happens to pass over your location, you can see the satellite momentarily appearing very bright; and if you are in the middle of the 10km wide path, they can be as bright as magnitude -9.5. That is over 100 times brighter than Venus (mag -4.6 at its brightest). They are easily visible in during the day if you know the exact time and place to look.

I have an app on my smartphone (called "ISS Detector") that predicts both ISS apparitions and Iridium "flares" (as they are called) for my location.

According to SimonShack it's a high flying plane, or rather a series of them, appropriately lit with solar powered LED lights and flying at set schedules to fool the masses

You can also see low orbit communication satellites crossing the sky at night, they move rather quickly too.
 
I used to work for Matra Marconi Space before it was amalgamated into Astrium. Off the top of my head I worked on Inmarsat (3 I think), Hotbird 4 & 5, Eutelsat, Artemis, Skynet 4 (D, E & F), Astra (2B I think) and Intelsat. I'm sure there were others.

I don't know why they were paying me and thousands of others to make all this shiny and very expensive, technologically advanced kit if it was all just going to be shelved, not to mention all of the ground stations that monitor and control the spacecraft hoaxes.

I hope it's not a hoax because I and a few others did occasionally write our signatures into aluminium wave-guides on each project using a vibro-peening pen. A bit naughty, but it was done before painting and dent tuning so there was no harm - it's just nice to know that floating up there somewhere is a spacecraft with my unique signature on it. Some I expect will outlive me! Or not if it's a all a terrible hoax.
