Why do I get the feeling that most CTers expect an airplane-shaped cookie cutout in the side of the Pentagon, as if it were a cartoon firgure running through a wall?
right and there were but they were not big pieces. There were a million small ones. Maybe it had to do with a massive impact? The wings would shear off. There'd be an explosion. Fire. People dying. And there would be recognizable airplane parts.

i suppose the missile had a big red C on it, right?
lol i was actually thinking that when wrote "red C" lolCCCP?
Prove me wrong.

There were no recognizable parts of the Galant left. When I was 16, I crashed my Mustang into a Mitsubishi Galant. How come it looked nothing like the plane crash at the Pentagon?
except for this:There were no recognizable parts of the Galant left.
sounds like what happened, fire, explosion, wings destroyed in aforemention explosion, people died, and we find recognizable airplane parts such as an engine and part of the fuselage with the AA logo

The engine part didn't belong to the type of airplane.
How can you call those little bits of aluminum a part of a plane.
i could ask you the saem question, how can you tell they belong to a missile? How can you call those little bits of aluminum a part of a plane.

Not quite what I was looking for, can you give me anymore? Average debris size, what should be nearly intact if anything...?
Here are a few high res images of the video I mentioned.
