Plane crash differences

And do you think that piece of tin was from the exterior of a large plane? It was a missile.

Actually that would be aluminum, and yes I do think that is what makes up the outer skin of the plane.

The C and the "plane" part it's on I doubt is AA. And do you think that piece of tin was from the exterior of a large plane? It was a missile.

And what do you think planes are made out of? 3 foot thick wrought-iron?

kc,

If an aluminum airplane was slammed into a reinforced concrete wall at high speed, what would you expect to see, kc440. Tell me in detail.
After you give your answer, I have a video I'd like to show you.

Look at those plane parts. Use your eyes. It looks like a toy.

Appeal to intuition fallacy.

That's what the "skin" of an aircraft looks like. It's thin because planes fly. Less weight = more "fly".

Sometimes I just sit here reading this stuff and shaking my head in disbelief.

:(

OK

The wings would shear off. There'd be an explosion. Fire. People dying. And there would be recognizable airplane parts.

sounds like what happened, fire, explosion, wings destroyed in aforemention explosion, people died, and we find recognizable airplane parts such as an engine and part of the fuselage with the AA logo

Not quite what I was looking for, can you give me anymore? Average debris size, what should be nearly intact if anything...?

Here are a few high res images of the video I mentioned.

Care to change your answer before I show it to you?

Maybe he would expect the tail section to still be sticking out of the building, sort of like a sideways version of that drawing that was on Killtown's site.

Here's a link. Look especially at the engine. The "engine" at the Pentagon didn't seem so destoyed.

Look at the plane parts. In the second picture from top, you see a little kiddie car part. And near the building, another piece of the "plane" with a red C on it.

kc440

I never saw recognizable debris from the Pentagon "plane." Can you show me a picture? A link? And who determined that the "plane" going into the Pentagon did so at 500 mph?

kc440

Strange...you say there is no debris at the site, then go ahead and identify a bunch of it. Which is it? Is there debris, or isn't there?

Um..isn't this pretty much what happened? Except for the wings shearing off which, considering the speed and force of impact, doesn't surprise me.

Why do I get the feeling that most CTers expect an airplane-shaped cookie cutout in the side of the Pentagon, as if it were a cartoon firgure running through a wall?
