T can't even get the big companies to take up much of the newly opened leases here... they sure aren't going to be upgrading the installations there just for their sulphur rich heavy sour.
What does that make anyway... fuel oil?
Not gas or diesel AIUI.

Also, at this time, I would not be putting any faith in the veracity of anything coming out of the mouth of the current President of the USA.

First, he isn't running this show, his trillionaire patrons in the shadows behind him are. Trump is just a useful idiot and front, doing whatever they whisper to him.

Second, Trump has no ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ clue what is happening. He just says whatever comes into his hair-filled skull to fill dead air on camera. He really doesn't care what he says, as long as it is him speaking and being fawned upon.
 
Trump says US is in charge of Venezuela.
If that means US troops on the ground, we will have another Vietnam Iraq on out hands.

I have nothing but comtempt for Maduro, but now Trump will feel embolden to do this again until he gets us into World War 3, I am afriad.

Maduro is a thug,pure and simple, but that does not make Trump's action any less dangerous and outrageous.
I predict it iwll not be long before the US body bags start coming home. Our nation building has worked so well in the past.
The big take away should be obvious; Internatinal law is ineffective. any law with no real ability for enforcement is always a joke. People here won't like to hear this, but it is the truth. And lots of yelling does not constiture enforcement.

Let me make this clear - I do not support what The Fat Orange Turd did. It does nothing to advance the welfare of ordinary Venezuelans and it was definitely illegal - contrary to International Law and the UN Charter. However, it is possible for two different things to be true at the same time...

1. It is true that the removal of Maduro, in and of itself, is a good thing.
2. It is true that the way it was achieved is a bad thing.

This is the centrist position, but the problem with the tribal nature of politics at this time is that all the cultists retreat into their entrenched positions and won't budge - the left wing cultists argue that both 1 & 2 are bad (or rather that 2 being bad makes 1 bad), the right wing cultists argue that both 1 & 2 are good (or rather that 1 being good makes 2 good). When this happens, the truth & the facts become casualties. The cultists on both sides need to recognize those truths & facts as truths even if it conflicts with their narratives.

The US "running the country" is going to work about as well as the US Runnning Vietnam and Iraq worked.
I give three months, at the latest, before gueriila warfare starts. Many of the Anti Maduro people will turn on the US on the basis of 'New BOss, same as the old BOSS.
Problem is too many people have such huge ideological blinkers that it totally distorths theri view of reality.
And trying to make Maduro some kind of revolutionary Saint a la Che Guevera will backfire.
Franky, when it comes it otherwise intelligent people making fools of themselves, Religion takes second place to Political Ideology.

Greenland and Denmark are also allies. Greenland lets the US base whatever military forces and early warning systems there the US requires. Greenland has no "narcoterrorists".

Greenland isn't a problem, yet still, somehow, it's a problem.
