Merged Peace President invades Venezuela,/U.S. Forces Capture Maduro

If you are going to export cocaine to the U.S., it would seem prudent to do so.
Maduro exported cocaine? How very convenient that the president of a country with lots of oil does that. Why not Colombia, if it's abour cocaine? And what about fentanyl, which I have been led to believe is the greatest threat? Shall we expect the arrest of Xi next?

As I say, it doesn't really matter. Laws are meaningless to Trump anyway. They are applied arbitrarily.
I'm afraid it does. It has set a precedent for Putin to remove the government of all the countries in 'his' sphere of influence the moment they elect someone they do he does not like.
The same for China.

The world has become so much less safe since the US fell to populism, I used to be somewhat optimistic about how the future would unfold, but that is slowly becoming less.

Because Columbia doesn't have a lot oil (that is selling to our enemies instead of us)? Was it a trick question?

Any interesting comparison would be Mexico and forearms. Mexico has very strict laws on importation and possession of firearms. Almost all of the illegal weapons in Mexico that kill thousands of mexicans are illegally imported from the US. It probably isn't illegal to export (non-military) firearms from the US; it is illegal to import them to Mexico.

Should Mexican special forces seize and take to Mexico the CEO / presidents of e.g.colt? If Trump has shares in US arms manufacturers could mexico bring a case against Trump for profiting from arms smuggling?

Even Donald says it's about oil.

Trump says he told Maduro to 'surrender' a week before attack

More from US President Donald Trump, who is speaking to Fox News.

Trump says that the US is going to be "strongly involved" in Venezuela's oil industry moving forward.

He adds that he spoke to Maduro "a week ago" and that he told him "you have to give up, you have to surrender".

"We had to do something much more surgical, much more powerful", Trump says.

Stolen election!

FOX & FRIENDS: Will you throw your support behind opposition leader María Corina Machado, who as you recall won the Nobel Peace Prize and then in turn dedicated it to you -- are you going to fully support her to run the country?

TRUMP: Well, we're gonna have to look at it. Right now, they have a vice president as you know. I don't know about what kind of election that was. The election of Maduro was a disgrace just like my election was a disgrace. 2020 was a disgrace -- a real disgrace -- now 2024 was too big to rig.

Can't take a chance on letting someone else run Venezuela

FOX & FRIENDS: What do you think is next for the Venezuelan people now that you have removed Maduro so he can face American justice?

TRUMP: Well, we're making that decision now. We can't take a chance on letting somebody else run it, just take over where he left off. So we're making that decision now

Mexican President is next.

"something is gonna have to be done with Mexico"

Trump on Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum: "The cartels are running Mexico. She's not running Mexico. We could be politically correct and be nice and say, 'Oh, yes, she is.' No no. She's very frightened of the cartels. They're running Mexico. And I've asked her number times, 'Would you like us to take out the cartels?' ... something is gonna have to be done with Mexico"

And to think we've got three more years of this ◊◊◊◊.

I wonder whose project this was. Stinky's brain is mush, Naziferatu could work but the brown people he hates are local... best guess I've got is Drinky Pete. He sat down with his generals, cracked open a fresh one, asked who it would make sense to invade, and then started firing until he got an answer.

Incredible!

Incredible operation. Maduro was protected by massive security. How Delta Force got him out will be the stuff of movies.

Oil!!

FOX & FRIENDS: What do you see as the future of Venezuela's oil industry?

TRUMP: Well I see that we're gonna be very strongly involved in it. That's all. What can I say. We have the greatest oil companies in the world.

Venezuela's oil isn't Venezuela's it's Trump's. Drill, baby, drill. Find all that Trump oil Venezuela stole.

20-25% of Venezuelans have already left Venezuela due to their dictator not allowing them to decide for themselves.
I have no love for Maduro, but that does not mean that other countries should be allowed to kidnap him. (And as dictators go, he is far from the worst. Some of Trump's best friends are among the top 10, he is not.) If the "leader of the free world" is allowed/allows himself to go rogue, we're well and truly ◊◊◊◊◊◊. This signals to China that they can take Taiwan, and underscores how eminently unsuitable the US is in the role of peace broker between Ukraine and Russia.
