Merged Jestblaze's Thoughts

Ok I have been told I'm spreading my threads out too much and I don't want to upset any of the children so I'll post this non telepathic idea here. It may be also in another one of my threads, I'm sorry I'm not checking. The human brain consists of chemicals used to create electrical signals between cells. The patterns of these electrical signals is the basis for human thoughts. One estimate i found theorized there are about 100 billion neurons in the human mind.
Plant cells communicate with each other through electric signals. Think now how many plant cells there are versus neurons in humans as well as how long the various plant cells have had to form, maybe coincidentally, the proper patterns formed in the human mind for thought and draw any conclusions you want.

Really? In the fiction 1 I have encountered the telepaths are able to read minds and occasionally communicate without speaking, but actual thought projection (placing an idea or intent in another's mind) is far more rare.

ETA:
(1) Wait. Are we talking about fiction or are we talking about the claims of charlatans, con men, and self-deluded mugs?

While more rare, it is certainly still common. Mordrid from The dark tower , Voodoo from the wildcats cartoon, are just two examples from media i have been watching.

But your post brings up an interesting point. I find when discussing these claims, the fiction and the fiction people think is real intertwines way too much.

You have two completely different observations here, neither of which is logically connected to the other, and the second of which is, I believe, incorrect.

1. Human cells communicate by using chemicals to create electrical signals between cells.

2. Plant cells also communicate by using chemicals to create electrical signals between cells.

I am not a biologist or a botanist, but I believe that your second statement is not true; plant cells do not communicate by using chemicals to create electrical signals between cells the way that animal cells do. I look forward to botanical enlightenment from the other members of this forum who DO know what they're talking about.

While we wait for them to get here, could you please give us a hint as to what conclusions you expect us to draw from your (possibly incorrect) statement that "animal cells and plant cells both communicate by using chemicals to create electrical signals between them"? The conclusion that I would draw--if both statements were true--would be that both animals and plants had evolved on the same planet, but somehow I suspect that's not what you're getting at.

The Happening is a documentary.

I think that he is leading up to telepathic quantum biological radio waves.

So I've thought a bit more on the subject and now believe with a little research that we can in scientific labs get down to .001pK degrees. This is not low enough so I came up with the idea that quantum entanglement of the radioactive element at the lowest temperature then suggestion of it slowing down subatomically could possibly get us to a temperature lower than the accuracy of the termometers <.000001pK est> That should be low enough. Also i thought about the atomic structure of elements and what would make the most stable element when fused and decided Polonium has the appropriate structure. Finally I thought an absurd theory that altering the perspective of motionlessness of half the sample into the other could create a cold fusion. Instead of bashing me ask me to explain what you don't. Oh and lastly my other thread on telepathic physics might help to explain a few things.

This post bashes itself far better than any of us could.

I feel like I've been slimed.

so if my calculations are correct... lK * C = aS and velocity is relative.
0.00000000000001K * 299792458 m/s = 0.00000299792458 m/s
I think there is a relationship and it should be a direct relationship but based on the math believe there is a missing constant that is an exponential of 10.

'Calculations' is stretching it a bit. Where did you study physics and what are your qualifications? You do know that there are members here who are real physicists?

My mug spoke to me a little while ago, and asked to be filled with coffee. It is now only half-full, and doesn't talk to me any more. I think this may be a delusion.

V.

For some reason I thought it meant petty criminal. The actual definition would be more of a violent criminal: a thug or ruffian. On the other hand, British slang allows of a definition of dupe, fool, or gullible person. So let's say I was going for that definition.

I doubt that very much. There is no such thing as telepathic physics, outside of science fiction. I suggest that you take a basic course in physics.

Are you English? "stretching it a bit" is a very English sort of understatement. :eye-poppi

I guess it will come down to one's definition of common and typical. I am tempted to make an effort to name four telepaths without that power for every one you name with that power. I do not, however, want to start a pedantic argument. If you want to do it as a game, we could do it in the Puzzle sub-forum.

So the speed of absolute zero is 0.00000299792458 m/s? There's a Nobel prize in this.
