Most people dont beleive in ghosts or spirits, yet how do we explain angels and demons? Angels and Demons have no phsycial form yet they can move things like ghosts can, and can talk to us like spirits even if we cant hear them. There is evidence that ghosts do exist, as well as other paranormal spirits. I'm currently gathering evidence to prove they exist but in a sense that all they are or have been is memories that have taken forms in reality and that people are seeing things.
Evidence would be good.
So far I haven't seen any compelling evidence for ghosts, spirits, demons or angels 'existing', or moving objects, etc. As someone else pointed out that doesn't mean they don't exist obviously...but I personally have doubts considering there's no compelling evidence despite long standing beliefs in various cultures about such things. You'd expect there'd be at least SOME compelling evidence in such a long period of time. But newp, haven't seen any. =\
So using the "well how do we explain angels and demons then" argument to prop up ghosts and spirits doesn't really work...when there's
no compelling evidence (that I've ever seen) for angels or demons either. (Or them moving things, speaking to people, etc.)
I'll grant you that more people in the US believe in 'angels' versus ghosts (especially based on a survey I saw not long ago, I think in Time Magazine...ugh so depressing) but
belief doesn't make it so. Otherwise Santa Claus would really be at the North Pole making toys for children, based on how many kids believe in him.
Anyway if you have any evidence to offer to support the claim that ghosts, spirits, demons, angels, or even little grey men are real...I know I'd love to see it. I'm pretty sure most other people around here would be interested too.
Unfortunately all the evidence I've ever seen hasn't been very compelling. It's either subjective eyewitness stories ("I saw it move down the hall! I felt a cold spot!") or things that can be explained using more mundane reasoning: doors slamming (ghosts? or the breeze through the house which makes the door slam when no windows are open and there's a breeze) cold spots (ghosts? or the AC vent aimed at that spot), noises (ghosts? or the fact that the house is 80 years old with a wood frame and all the noises are similar to other homes in the same style, build, age.) Etc. etc. etc.
I really would love to see something new and compelling, but the stuff I have seen (or heard of, or read) so far isn't blowing my skirt up.
