Including the UAE and Saudi Arabia? What is your definition of "failed state"? Or are you, like NatalieSalat, moving the goalposts to "secular liberal democracy"?Literally all of them?

Of course.Including the UAE and Saudi Arabia?
Seems like you figured it out. What is your definition of "failed state"?
Never imagine for a moment that I will have any part of your slapfights with other people.Or are you, like NatalieSalat, moving the goalposts to "secular liberal democracy"?
So that's a yes.Seems like you figured it out.

You're mistaking the argument you want to have with NatalieSalat, for the argument I'm actually offering. I just told you not to do that.So that's a yes.
Oh, and Palestinians are sleeping in tents because Israel has bombed the crap out of their houses and reduced them to piles of rubble. They can blame Israel for smashing all of the drainage infrastructure to rubble so that the rain has nowhere to go but flood what remains of the streets, but the Religious Zionists at Arutz Sheva won't bother mentioning that.
UAE is some sort of decent place to live? Ask the majority of the population. No, not the arabs, they are the minority. The Pakistanis, Bangladeshi, Indians and Filipino ex-pats. They have few rights, receive very low wages and live in deplorable ghettos.Including the UAE and Saudi Arabia? What is your definition of "failed state"? Human rights in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are severely restricted. The UAE does not have democratically elected institutions and citizens do not have the right to change their government or form political parties. Activists and academics who criticize the government are detained and imprisoned, and their families are often harassed by the state security apparatus.[1] There are reports of forced disappearances of foreign nationals and Emirati citizens, who have been abducted, illegally detained and tortured in undisclosed locations, and denied the right to a speedy trial or access to counsel during investigations by the UAE government.[a] The non-governmental organisation (NGO) Human Rights Watch, states that Emirati laws maintain capital punishment and discriminate against women, migrants and LGBTQ individuals.
This is what a democratically elected terrorist base of operations looks like, for all the voters that aren't part of the Cause. Hopefully things don't look much better for those who are part of the Cause.Oh, and Palestinians are sleeping in tents because Israel has bombed the crap out of their houses and reduced them to piles of rubble.
This is what that looks like, by the way:
Oh, don't get me wrong. I wouldn't live there for quids. I said if forced to make a choice.UAE is some sort of decent place to live? Ask the majority of the population. No, not the arabs, they are the minority. The Pakistanis, Bangladeshi, Indians and Filipino ex-pats. They have few rights, receive very low wages and live in deplorable ghettos.
I think you are interested in human rights. UAE is right at the bottom.

Oil rich, but a failed state by any measure, except for the minority Emirati people.
As for Saudi Arabia, being the world’s biggest executioner and imposing sharia law would disqualify them. Women are downtrodden and nobody who is gender diverse would be raising their heads.
Having said that, there are even worse Arab states.
Literally all of them?
I think you'll find China is the world's biggest executioner by absolute number.UAE is some sort of decent place to live? Ask the majority of the population. No, not the arabs, they are the minority. Even if China were very moderate in their executions, they'd probably still be the largest by absolute number.I think you'll find China is the world's biggest executioner by absolute number.
There's a first for everything, I guess.(thought better)
I notice you're suggesting that Saddam Hussain and the Viet Cong were "perps we (lefties) approve of". Are you sure you want to lean into that?
