Not sure where you got that idea. KJV reads 666. And if thats not good enough for you, here is how it reads in the original Greek.

For starters you had the "Great Famine" of 1315-1317.

Millions died when crops failed because of excessive rainfall.

War was everywhere but most notable was probably the vicious,nasty conflict between England & France known as the 100 years war. Add millions more bodies to the pile.

As if this wasn't bad enough--the Great Plague hit about mid-century and KILLED about TWENTY FIVE PERCENT of the population.

War,famine,pestilence, and death on a scale that makes anything happening now look like child's play.


I wonder how many people back then thought the end was near when 90% of eveybody they knew in the world died in pain from some horrible disease...

I have done some research on "End Times" theories and prophesies throughout history and spanning several religions. Of course, there are many, many differences. However, upon closer inspection, I noticed something about the dated theories until today, that, amazingly, is a factor in 100% of the cases that I surveyed. Not 99.9% but a full 100% ...........they have all been wrong.
