While people may attempt to laugh off the commentary of prominent conservatives, they'll find it much harder to handwave away the opinion of someone who changed his name to sound like a comic-book Sturmbannführer.

Republicans crafted an entire midterm strategy around making Mamdani the face of the Democratic Party and portraying him as the most dangerous political figure in American history. Called him a jihadist. Introduced a resolution in the House condemning socialism. All gone now.

Not your imagination. Gold is everywhere. He has a long way to go to catch up with Pootin in glittery gold displays but he's working on i.
 
In defence of Putin (never thought I would say that) at least his blingy rooms came with the job and are historic artifacts. Much like the Royal Palaces in lots of European countries that are still used for State functions and such.
