Exactly there is no such thing as war crimes in the real world. They are just victors justice. This is the most fractally stupid idea I've seen so far this year.

And unlike most Americans, they know about conditions in other countries. What Cubans Think About Zohran Mamdani (Belly of the Beast on YouTube, Nov 6, 2025 - 2:27 min.)
New York City has a new mayor — Zohran Mamdani — and everyone's talking about it. But how do people thousands of miles away in Cuba see this political moment?
We asked Cubans what they know about the election and how U.S. politics echo across the Caribbean.
From cautious optimism to political skepticism, their answers reveal how closely the island follows its northern neighbor — and how much hope and doubt come with every U.S. election.
He's just performatively pretending to hate capitalism because someone on the left may have benefited from it.Ok...now what? Sounds like her parents hold pretty mundane jobs. Is this another one of those things where you guys are like, "Mumdani is a fake because he married a woman who's parents aren't living check to check"? Like crying about Greta because she's flown in a ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ plane or something?
What's the point you're trying to make? Can you just make it without all this nonsense?
Yeah, I was thinking about the same thing. If you overpromise that the sky will fall, people will eventually start to ask you when you think it was meant to happen.
The doom-mongering about an introduction of Sharia law is just a super-crazy one for the real loonies, but it's only going to be one of a long list of pieces of sky which do not fall. Eventually just about everyone will notice.
Sounds strangely familiar...I wonder if you'll get the same phenomena that we have here, right wingers issuing more and more fevered warnings about how the terrible mayor is going to subject everyone to sharia law, while living and working in.. Dubai..
The statements from these folks doesn't really say much beyond glazing Mamdani and saying how great it is that it runs against Trump's policies. At the very least, none of them had anything to say regarding promises for rent freezes, free transit, and government operated grocery stores, or the replacement of police with social workers... much less how it is relatable to their own internal affairs. Not sure how this supports your contention.Unlike Republicans, they appear to know the difference between Communists and Social Democrats/Democratic Socialists.
And unlike most Americans, they know about conditions in other countries.
Unfortunately we know he could shoot some one on 5th Ave and nothing would happen.
I wonder if Trump is thinking about it.

Only applies to actors I disagree with...So yes, he can STFU.You're an actor.. STFU
Voight, not Resume.
It’s a plain-sight not-quite-twist that was sitting in front of us this whole time. Following Donald Trump’s selection of the hilariously cursed trio of Mel Gibson, Sylvester Stallone and Jon Voight for a made-up ambassadorship to Hollywood back in January, it was revealed that the position may not be ceremonial after all; it was actually Voight himself who helped goad Trump into making that bizarre statement about placing a 100% tariff on foreign-made films. The whole ‘Mamdani will damage the Democrats’ argument never made sense when the last centrist mayor was actually embraced by the establishment, got indicted on federal charges, shattered records for unpopularity, and somehow none of that was treated as a Democratic albatross

Republicans are chomping at the bit to make Mamdani the face of the democrats and also are pulling out all the stops and conspiring with other democrats to derail his campaign at all costs.

President Trump ended his first face-to-face meeting with the mayor-elect stressing common goals and trading praise. “I feel very confident that he can do a good job,” Mr. Trump said Friday afternoon in the Oval Office. “I think he is going to surprise some conservative people actually.” New York Times article link
I thought the sitting handshake might be a dis, but apparently Trump sat for the entire press conference. More evidence for the "Trump is having physical difficulties," theory?
