• Quick note - the problem with Youtube videos not embedding on the forum appears to have been fixed, thanks to ZiprHead. If you do still see problems let me know.

Below is a video that shows someone hitting the Dodge which struck other cars and demonstrators prior to the crash. Some are claiming this event caused the driver to accelerate out of fear leading to the accident. Unsurprisingly, this video only shows a few seconds, and no lead up; which leads me to suspect the editor did not want us to see what happened before. Take that with witnesses who said the car sat at the top of the hill for a while, and then accelerated down the hill. Anyone know of a longer clip?

Title should be "Charlottesville terrorist attack video".

I posted that link yesterday and it appears that the video has been changed slightly. It zooms in on the guy hitting the car and conveniently edits out the beginning when the car takes off showing the drivers intent. The car is already fully accelerating and the guy who strikes the car is, IMO, trying to get the attention of the driver and make the car slow down.

Wow.

I've seen a longer vid, it's all over youtube, and he seems to be speeding down the street, but by the time this (your) vid starts he is clearly going slowly and the car get hit in the rear left by a guy who pretty calmly steps up and swings a bat, that he, he was running or jumping to try to catch up, he just stepped up and swung. This vid has changed my assessment of what happened.

Yep. The full video is freely available. He speeds towards the protestors, and speeds up even more when he gets close. The Nazi terrorist's intention is clear from the get go.

Because really, it was the guy with the bat who hit the car so hard that it flew into the crowd.

Or the driver, after being assaulted by a member of the crowd, speeds away in fear, and incidentally defends himself from the crowd with the best defensive weapon at hand- his car.

Even in California, self defense is legal. We all know how dangerous riots can be.

He defended himself from the people who were 40 yards in front of his car?

Because that's where the people he killed and injured were.

Funny how all these "We Are Not Racist" Trump supporters are trying their best to stand up for the Nazis, Isn't it?
Just like Dear Leader.

After Charlottesville, we have a much better understanding about who among us are Nazi-curious. The mask is coming off.

Here is the vid that starts earlier ...

The guy swings the bat 4 seconds in. The driver is going to walk and those lawsuits will have to be against antifa.

People are already fleeing the car before the bat swinger does anything that can be perceived as threatening.
The brake lights are off throughout the clip, which means at no point did the driver react to the fact that pedestrians are blocking the street.

This is clear intention to murder.
The guy who swings the bat (or whatever it is) reacts to a murderous attack in progress. It's perhaps not a useful move, but probably the best he could have done at the moment.

Evidently the legal system is another subject that you are unfamiliar with.

The 20 yo Army washout is facing 2nd degree murder charges and there is video of him committing the act.

Odds are that the best he's going to be able to get is a deal for some degree of vehicular manslaughter.

Judging by the success record of folks suing wp mental defectives, I'd say whoever has their name and "white nationalist" group name associated with this cluster **** is going to be sitting for interrogatories and will be learning some hard lessons behind this incident - ask Tom Metzger, he learned it the hard way too:

http://www.nytimes.com/1990/10/26/news/sending-a-12.5-million-message-to-a-hate-group.html?mcubz=3

" When jurors in Oregon assessed more than $12 million in damages against a white supremacist group and its leaders this week, they virtually indentured the leaders for the rest of their lives."

Gotta love that end result. Can't wait to see wp worms squirm when they're on the hook.
