Cannibal restaurant.

Cannibalism is explicitly not illegal in Germany .. there was this criminal trial some time back where a guy had eaten his friend, allegedly his friend's wish. I recall that the 'eater' could not be indicted for cannibalism. Necrophilia is not illegal in Germany as well.

I'm moving to Germany.

It's probably indeed a hoax, but the part about it being in Germany seems oddly appropriate. :D

No, not a movie title - supposedly an actual restaurant opening in September in Berlin that will feature donated human meat on the menu.

"Hi, can we have your liver?"
"Er.... Okay, you talked me into it."

I think necrophilia is still not explicitly illegal in parts of the US. At the least, if I recall correctly Washington state only recently noticed that beastiality was still open and plugged that hole. The last few places may have made sure necrophilia is illegal but I am not certain.

As for the life sentance, 15 years is the minimum in Germany. There is no maximum. About 20% of prisoners sentanced to life in Germany die in prison. The longest life sentance served was 49 years, the inmate having died at that point.

Depending on the state, this is not dissimilar to the US. There are states that just like Germany have the 15 year minimum before possibility of parole and few people serving a full lifetime. There are states without a minimum as well.

I'm reminded of that superb short story by Stanley Ellin: The Specialty of the House. Favored customers are invited into the kitchen where they are killed and served to the other diners.

That just seems like a quick way to kill your business.

Gasp. Argh,,when I die, I want to leave my body to Joe's Eats..puff wheeze...

Naw, that won't work. Tough old geezers make for stringy sauerbraten. Best source would be to add a clause to suicide pacts, those young lovers would still be tender...

Maybe between now and the opening, they are expecting to collect remains from dead minor criminals.

Anybody for some Filet Minion ?
