Fair enough.Fixed that for you, I think. The loyalty may run only skin deep, but Trump is pretty gullible.

Agreed. But there are thousands of people who are like that in federal and state politics, and in business. So my thought was why those particular people were chosen. What made him choose them. Remembering also that Trump is thoroughly suggestible by rogue forces behind the cheap gilded throne.Except my post and yours aren't exactly in agreement. I do think Trump is serious in his picks because the only criterion for his picks is that they are loyal to him personally and will do whatever they are told.
There's one in Moscow who has Donny's tiny pink balls rolling around in the bottom desk drawer.I wonder if he also prefers billionaires so he can borrow money from them when he needs to.
He chose them because they have demonstrated they are true Trump cultists. That is his only requirement.Agreed. Only one? There's one in Moscow who has Donny's tiny pink balls rolling around in the bottom desk drawer.
The only one that matters...to Trumpy.Only one?

Trump’s selection for attorney general, Pam Bondi, has said that when Trump returns to power, “the prosecutors will be prosecuted”.
Moreover, Trump didn’t recruit these people or anybody else. They recruited him.
Every one of his nominees campaigned for these jobs by engaging in conspicuous displays of submission and flattery directed toward Trump.
Before Trump tapped Kristi Noem to head the Department of Homeland Security, she sent him a 4ft replica of Mount Rushmore with Trump’s face next to those of Washington, Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Lincoln.
I agree.Trump’s cabinet picks aren’t just ‘loyalists’. They’re groveling, subservient yes-men

All of Trump’s nominees are unprincipled enablers who are unlikely to push back when he makes reckless decisionswww.theguardian.com
Well, checkers. I don't think Trump could play chess, he wouldn't remember how the horsey moves, and he'd never accept that the queen has the best movement while the king can barely move at all.
That pick is absolutely ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ hilarious, isn't it.I hear Don Jr's launching a musical career, his first singles going to be a cover version of George Straite's "All My Exes Live inTexasGreece"
At least it's a clear and unambiguous indication that the major, indeed the sole, criterion for selection is blind loyalty and that competence isn't a consideration because there's no intention on Trump's part to govern effectively. That pick is absolutely ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ hilarious, isn't it.
Or that he is going to be in charge of everything. He just needs loyal chair fillers. At least it's a clear and unambiguous indication that the major, indeed the sole, criterion for selection is blind loyalty and that competence isn't a consideration because there's no intention on Trump's part to govern effectively.
Jesus H Christ. KARI LAKE? Trump continues handing out rewards to his cultist followers. And the beat goes on...
Guess who is to be the new director of Voice of America. Go on, guess!
I'm not sure, but I understand this appointment doesn't need Senate approval. So she just walks right in.Jesus H Christ. KARI LAKE? Trump continues handing out rewards to his cultist followers.
During Trump’s first term in office, it took two years for his pick to run the agency, Michael Pack, to get confirmed by the Senate. Once Pack arrived, chaos ensued inside VOA and other parts of the agency. Pack dismissed the heads of multiple networks; stacked their boards with Trump loyalists; reportedly tried to meddle in news coverage; and brought in political appointees who investigated a VOA White House reporter for alleged anti-Trump bias.
Some conservatives cheered his efforts. But a federal investigation later followed up on whistleblower complaints and found a long list of abuses.
The Trump-era purge efforts led Congress to institute reforms. A bipartisan group called the International Broadcasting Advisory Board now works with the CEO of the U.S. Agency of Global Media. By law, the head of VOA can only be “appointed or removed” by a majority vote of the board.
If it sounds like a lot of bureaucracy, it is. But it is intended to provide some measure of independence to the broadcasters.
That’s why, by announcing Lake, Trump is “putting the cart before the horse,” a veteran of the agency told CNN.
Lake will be denied the position and another person appointed, but she will insist to her dying day that she is still the rightful CEO and it was all an illegal Democrat plot against her.Lake may not be a shoo-in for the VOA leadership:
