366 now. Down about 25% since I said I would short it. If I'd followed through and used psionl0's site, I'd be in tall cotton about now. Oh well. He who hesitates... doesn't make any money, at least not in this case.

Provided you can actually get the money out of the system.

Darn these originators and early adopters. Is there nothing they don't know about the future of bitcoin?

They don't have to know the whole future, just when it's going to turn south. And the price chart over the last week or so certainly suggests that some early adopter somewhere just pulled off a classic pump-and-dump.

But I didn't see any false and misleading positive statements about bitcoin recently. Was this a secret pump and dump?

I think that Wright is the guy; even leaving aside the documents, I'm having a hard time parsing why anyone would hoax being the creator of BTC. I can't see any upside to a hoax, and I see a whole lot of downside.

I think he didn't want to be known is the reasoning.

For some inexplicable reason, the price is up to 415.

That's a bit easier. I think the thinking goes like this:

He has [allegedly] got $400M of Bitcoin. They will now be off the market and unless Wright decrypts his holding files, the AFP won't find them, so they may never be recovered.

Probably the Winkelvoss twins see it as an opportunity to up their percentage holding.
