Epic fail for the truthers, I thought. Don't forget that you guys have forgotten more about this subject than BBC journos will ever know, so it's always going to come up short for you.
As someone with more than layman's knowledge of the subject, but nothing specialist, I thought the programme did a more than adequate job with the claims, and more importantly, made clear the message that the truthers are JAQing off. The fiction vs reality speech at the end was a great note to finish on.
And Dylan looked and sounded like an increasingly frustrated and petulant teenager, which is always fun.
As someone with more than layman's knowledge of the subject, but nothing specialist, I thought the programme did a more than adequate job with the claims, and more importantly, made clear the message that the truthers are JAQing off. The fiction vs reality speech at the end was a great note to finish on.
And Dylan looked and sounded like an increasingly frustrated and petulant teenager, which is always fun.

Giving Richard Gage about 20 minutes air time was ridiculous.
He is still in Conspiracyland circa 2005.
Freefall, Pull It, Madrid Building etc, etc.
So much stuff left unchallenged.
And when it was challenged it often amounted to simply "I just couldn't happen. I would know."
From watching this, the average Brit will be under the impression that this building fell in 7 seconds, was the first building ever to fall from fire, and god knows what else.
Don't get me wrong, there was some good stuff.
Hearing from Dr Sunder and Chief Nigro was a pleasant surprise.
All in all, not good enough, BBC.

So, Barry Jennings withdrew his interview in LC because he felt they distorted his words about 'dead bodies'? Isn't that radically different from being harassed by debunkers? Once again, simile doesn't enter their dictionaries.
And Dylan Avery demonstrates in a rather crass manner how deeply ingrained in his emotional framework this conspiracy theory is. Mark summed it up quite succinctly in the clip beforehand by calling it a religous movement.
'I don't care what he ****ing says!' doesn't sound street or radical, it simply shows an utter failure of critical thinking, reason, and debate in seven words.

ETA: Hyper, remember, the BBC does this for the average, uneducated viewer, not for us or the truthers. As someone who used to believe in the JFK conspiracy until the BBC documentary about it in 2003, I can assure you this program will arm the person on the fence with critical thinking skills and a fresh outlook.
