This topic inspired me to look up pre-cook Australian discovery, and there appears to be plenty of evidence that Indonesian (Macassan) people visited and traded with indigenous Australians such as the Wolngu people. I'd believe that.

Yes, and it went both ways apparently, with some of the indigenous Australians permanently moving out of the country.

There is supposed to be a Portuguese grave in South Australia from the 1500's, unfortunately the location has to be kept secret because of vandalism.

Stop being pathetic. I shouldn't have to add "except for the inhabitants" to every sentence I write just to avoid you saying "gotcha"!

It is trivially true that the inhabitants of the land knew that it existed but nobody else knew about the land and much less that it was occupied.
This response is exactly the reason I wanted to point it out. Thank you.

The comic strip was so large that it felt like scrolling through an entire novel. Actually the point was made in the first (sub) panel and the rest was unfunny nonsense.
Well, if you don't get First Dog you won't get First Dog. Personally I think he's this generation's Larry Pickering.

Dutton in Victoria campaigning for the upcoming by election, making comments so misleading they are simply lies. He’s gone all law and order about how the government appoints soft magistrates.

The Governor in Council signs off, as they do on many senior appointments, but the Justice Department selects magistrates and the sign-off is automatic.

On the Dunkley by election, Labor has a 6% margin. If Labor loses, this may be the beginning of the end for Albo.

You could almost make a thread about Dutton’s lies. As Trump is with Biden, potato head is ranting that Albo is letting inflation run out of control. In fact, it is reducing more rapidly than the RBA has been expecting.
