It seems that the tea baggers are trying to paint themselves as victims again, and it has some pretty nasty racist over tones to it. This is the latest scandal video making the rounds of racist You Tube sites.

To hear that whiney punk Taber tell it, some black guy just decided it would be a good idea to start shoving people around when he was outnumbered about 50:1 with shrieking rightwing lunatics.

Notice how completely the video documents the events...NOT. There is no indication of who shoved whom first. The whiney tea bagger says that he was protecting "his woman." (Draw your own conclusions from the wording.)

Only sign I have seen of a woman involved is the woman pulling the wussie boy away from the "menacing" black guy.

Note, if you want to go directly to the YT page with this video that it is posted by several other channel owners of a decidedly nasty racist bent and the Stormfront thugs are all over it calling for the black guy's head.

During what cops characterized as a peaceful protest, an enraged man later identified as Governor Spencer, began to hurl vulgarities, disrupted the protest, argued with individuals and then became physically violent.

Governor Spencer then punched the Chairman of the Forsyth County (NC) Republican Party, Nathan Tabor, a North Carolina business owner
, head of the Forsyth County Republican Party, and a former candidate for the U.S. Congress.

Investigation reveals that Governor Spencer is a union organizer, a socialist and a black liberation activist. According to political activist Bill Gheen, Spencer led the Greensboro K-Mart protests of 1995 and mobilized families
, communities, and "the Pulpit Forum of Greensboro, a coalition of progressive clergy, to commit acts of civil disobedience.

(emphasis mine)

It's laughable how you are trying to paint Taber in the same corner with Stormfront.

Strange story, not much on Yahoo

http://www.wxii12.com/politics/23864768/detail.html

Police said Govenor Spencer, a 63-year-old Greensboro man and registered Democrat, hit activist Nathan Tabor, the head of Forsyth County's Republican Party.

The confrontation started out as a shoving match, some of which was captured on camera.

Police said Spencer confronted the protestors, blaming the country's problems on former President George W. Bush. Minutes later the shoving started and then came the punch, police said.
...
Tabor said he has no bruises from the punch, but he can't understand how magistrates in Greensboro ended up charging both him and Spencer with assault.

He said he admits that he pushed Spencer, but Tabor said he did so only after his wife was pushed by Spencer.

Both men have a July 7 court date for simple assault charges.

This happened outside a congress crittewr's office. It does stand to reason that a political activist with union ties would be inside the office when the protest was going on outside. There are cars parked on the street in front of the office. This would be a logical place for a union activist to park while doing any sort of business in the office. Those cars could be approached only by passing through the crowd of shrieking monkeys protesting out front.

If half of what I know about Spencer is correct, there is no way that Tabor didn't know who he was. Would a teabagger confront a union activist for the purpose of starting a fight so that he could rig evidence to bring charges against the union activist?

Bloody well right, he might.

Teabaggers are a bit unhinged, you know.

That video is a hot topic here in NC. Spencer is a bit of a lightning rod for controversy, so its not surprising he was there amongst the teabaggers leading a one-man counter-protest. Its also not surprising that both sides were more than willing to resort to violence.

What is surprising is there is only this one video clip. The teabaggers are there for publicity, Spencer is there for publicity... and the action is only captured by one guy with a cell-phone camera? That does smell of shenanigans.

FWIW - a better view of the video here, though still heavily edited.

It looks like Taber was pushing his camera into Spencer's face and Spencer pushed him back. Taber's response is "oh my god, someone call the police". Then "don't touch my wife". Then the scuffle and punch.

As far as I can tell, the only punch thrown was by Spencer, but there was some pushing and shoving that might justify that in a judge's eyes. Still, I would lean towards a harsher penalty against Spencer for throwing a punch (kind of like how the guy who retaliates always get the penalty flag in the NFL). It also looked like Taber was trying to hide behind his wife at one point.

Actually, it is reasonable to believe that Spencer may have been there to conduct some sort of legitimate business. Whacky little Tabor was there to cause as much of a ruckus as possible. He is not one of the more rational people running about the streets of North Carolina. The jerk falls of the axis somewhere to the right of Glen Beck.

I have seen video from, apparently, two sources, the one on YT from somebody's cell phone and the one that maggot boy Breitbart is running from, apparently, Tabor's handicam.

Neither of them show Spencer shoving the ranting righty's wife. The only words exchanged between them that were recorded started with the camera about four inches from Spencer's nose, and Spencer telling Tabot to get it out of his face.

Now, I find it a bit odd that the little sniveller would video taped Spencer giving the teabaggers a piece of his mind, from a distance, but would not bother top turn the camera back on when he noticed Spencer approaching him at a different spot.

It also struck me as rather odd that in the two most significant viral videos of this sort, this and the Gladney fraud, there is a rightwing Christian extremist on the teabagger side against a prominent union figure.

Oner of those things to make you go Hmmmmmm....

Not in the eyes of the law in most places. Tabor had the opportunity to back down. It looks to me as though Spencer was trying to leave, and the religious nutjob was trying to block his way to his car. He followed Spencer to his car, still filming intermittently. Now ask yourself, if you know your assailant and have video of him smacking you already, are you going to go stick a camera in his face again when you know the cops are coming anyway?

It also looked like Taber was trying to hide behind his wife at one point.

Looked to me like she was trying to get him out of a mess that his mental problems got him into.

I think thast the reason the magistrate charged them both was that he was sort of compelled to by the actions that Tabor had taken, but he knew enopugh about Tabor not to trust him to tell the truth.

(Tabor aint the sharpest knife in the drawer.)

Now people have to rememebr in many cases it does matter exactly what happened prior to the punch being thrown.

Was Tabor shoving Spenser? Was there verbal confrontation?

And more importantly who participated in 'assault', did Spenser or Tabor engage in assaultive speech?

If they both participated in assaultive behavior then they both get charged, there is no 'self defense' on either party here, if Tabor shoved Spenser he will have to demonstrate there was contact by Spenser prior to his allged self defensive shove.

Now I would not say 'staged' I would say 'bad acting'.

Governor Spencer is obviously confused, Obama wanted kicked asses and not punched faces.

Look at the shadows. Spencer was on the stairs of a building when he first appeared. He was on the sidewalk when he confronted the whackjob. The only direction Spencer is seen moving is toward the sun. Tabor was between Spencer and his vehicle.

He is SO screwed.

Video fakery, no doubt. Clearly it is some sort of hologram or edited into the video.

Sure its possible, but not likely Not knowing Spencer's work in the past and knowing that the teabaggers advertised this protest in advance. Its more reasonable to believe that Spencer went that because of the teabaggers.

There is nothing wrong with that - I would have done the same if I had the spare time.
