Every person accused of a crime deserves the chance to clear his name.

Larry Silverstein has been the target of many a Truther's accusation; some direct, some subtle. Unfortunately, Larry Silverstein does not post here. The next best thing that can be done is to have his accusers present their claims in a formal format, and for others to try to refute those claims.

These are the purposes of this thread:

1) List crimes you accuse Larry Silverstein of
1A) Present evidence of Silverstein's guilt
2) Critique these accusations and evidence


Anything else shall be considered a derail, and I shall call down the the fury of the mods upon you. As long as you stay on topic, I will show you respect.

ETA: Clarifications of you views, e.g. "I don't accuse him of anything, I just think blah blah blah" aren't necessarily considered derails, as long as it's within reason. But you will still be subject to criticism.

ETA2: Joke replies (ex "being a rich Jew") are permitted as long as they are both somewhat good-natured and somewhat on-topic.

Has Silverstein been named in any of the lawsuits filed by varous CTers? If he has, maybe it would be good to recap the allegations and the results of these - it seems to be in the vein of your OP.

truthers dont need evidence. only accusations. just like the nazis, the bolsheviks, the grand inquisitors, the puritans, etc etc.

next they will accuse Larry of witchcraft. if he is not a witch...he will drown. if he is a witch..he wont drown.

Clear his name of what?

Nobody in that video actually accuses him of anything specifically or directly. As usual, it's just a couple of moronic tinhatters making fools of themselves without ever actually making any specific allegations, even when the man is right there in front of them and they have the opportunity to make their accusations directly.

You know, if I was talking directly to someone who I thought was personally complicit in the deaths of nearly 3000 people, I would certainly say so explicitly and would offer evidence in support of my accusations. Why is it that inaptly-named self-proclaimed "truthers" are so utterly incapable of doing so?

So, please, by all means, do present your accusations directly so that they can be addressed directly, and please explain what you mean when you said "he got a chance to clear his name".

the only thing i ever accused LS for is, he sayd "Pull it"
afaik that is no crime :)

but strange enough when the truthers asked him about he did not talk about it.
 
Call me a bluff old traditionalist, but I've always believed the principle innocent until proven guilty, to be the best method.

As Silverstein has not been proven guilty of anything, the onus of proof is on the conspiracy theorists who make accusations about him to try proving that he's guilty.

Silversteins name is clear unless it can be proven otherwise.

In order to convict him, they would have to prove that he is guilty. At this point it would be sufficient to prove that there's a good chance that he could be proven guilty in principle.

Of course, that would require someone to say what he could be proved guilty of.

Would it make any difference if he did? I don't think so.

Besides, it's not strange at all that he doesn't talk about it. He has no obligation to indulge the tinfoil hat crowd in their fantasies.

Silverstein lives in something called the REAL WORLD. He's got more important things to worry about.

Just shows how infentile these twoofers are. One looking for "the truth" asks questions with an open mind, they don't go to a public benefit with their minds made up and try to get a person to incriminate themselves. They are convinced there is a conspiracy, and no matter what LS says, or anyone for that matter, their oppinons will not change.

The lady who yells, "Answer answer answer" just annoys the heck out of me. I can picture her wearing winter clothes and knitting a scarf while they badger LS. Moonbatia indeed.

Dictator Cheney, what do you persoanly believe LS is guilty of? What evidence do you have? If you're just going to post these weak videos, and cry "pull it", why even bother posting in this thread?

Here, here! I am really beginning to feel very sorry for anyone connected to the tragedies of 9-11. I already felt for them having to experience those events, but it is worse with truthers constantly accusing them of being in on it.

Silverstein didn't gain anything from 9-11. He made the mistake of using the term "pull it" refering to the firefighter efforts to save WTC7, and not dreaming that truthers would misquote him for the rest of his life.

If someone in the government were to say that "Bush really blew it...." the truthers would be using that as evidence of a conspiracy.
