It was Graham's gotcha attempt, to portray Kamala Harris helping to raise bail money for some of the BLM protesters in Portland as an incitement to violence comparable to Trump's speech on Jan 6. Graham threatened to bring up this ridiculous whatabout over a week ago (Newsweek via MSN).

It wasn't really a question at all. It was a direct implication that Harris was inciting violence by supporting the legal option for bail for poor people who had been arrested during the BLM protests.

I'd like to know why this wasn't general knowledge until the trial is almost over, or if so, why it wasn't brought up. I don't even know if it can be incorporated as evidence tomorrow before or during closing arguments.

Yet later on McCarthy went to Florida to "kiss Trump's ring." What the hell is going on?

No question. But here any type of intolerance is largely not treated as an asset in politics, business etc. It is usually rooted out and quickly dealt with by political and business leaders and those openly supporting intolerance tend to have rather short careers. There are no politicians who have become successful by coddling and catering to bigots.

Which is to Canada's credit. I have no tolerance for Trump cultists or for those like Cruz or Graham who are not true Trump devotees but merely unethical, slimy, disgusting opportunists. I am truly embarrassed by and ashamed of them.
 
We will all now see the point of the impeachment. The DC Attorney General and perhaps the USA for DC will bring criminal charges against Trump. He will likely be convicted by a jury selected from the bluest voters in the country. This will humiliate and damage Senators in vulnerable seats in 2022. The outrage by the Trump base will ensure that retiring senators are replaced in primaries by Trump supporters and swing state senators will have to go all in on Trump to avoid primary challenges. The seven Republican house members from swing districts who voted for impeachment in the house will be ousted by unelectable Trump supporters, ensuring a Democratic majority in both houses.

My speculative opinion is that the House Managers underestimated that the Defense would bring up something so blatantly dishonest as to pretend Trump didn't know what was taking place. I'm surprised the defense didn't say Trump was taking a bubble bath and no one disturbed him.

That's my assessment as well so I can't figure out what setup Bubba is complaining about. The cultists planned to engage in violence and law enforcement was severely hampered in their ability to contain said violence.

Likely, he's trying to convince himself in the usual CT way - poorly thought through nonsense that solves an immediate issue without any hint of critical thinking to check whether it actually makes objective sense or works without ridiculous consequences. That way, he can avoid reassessing his preferred assumptions in light of reality and admitting that he actually was fundamentally wrong about a lot of things, both of which can be tough things to do, especially for many of those who have motivation to fall for nonsense CTs in the first place.
