Since Harris became the apparent new nominee, around 28,000 new volunteers have signed up and she's raised over $81 million, a record one-day amount. Seems like she's energizing the Dems.

I am a little surprised at how many paid commenttors and journalist.I am not talking about internet amateurs here....are talking about Newsom as a Veep choice. you think as pros they would know about the little clause in the constituiion that a POTUS and a Veep cannot come from the same state.....

Same as Dubya and Cheney, the latter simply made a proforma move to another state (I forget which one) and that was that.

You can get around that, but I think the optics would be really bad with Newsom. He would have to resgin as Governor for onr thing.

I don't think Newsom would be good, not because of his residency, but because he should be the candidate for 2032.

Also, I'd say the border between the Koreas is a little more dangerous. Being a minefield and all. A former president should know that.

I also thought of Ukraine/Russia. I've crossed the Mexico/USA border a couple of times, the only intrusion was people selling souvenirs, not tanks.

She's going to destroy him. I'm already selling crying towels to Trump voters.

And if you want to know how scared they are, read this for a dose of the most beautiful irony you'll find this week:

“If Joe Biden can’t run for president, he can’t serve as president,” the Ohio senator said. “And if they want to take him down because he’s mentally incapable of serving, invoke the 25th amendment. You don’t get to sort of do this in the most politically beneficial way for Democrats. If it’s an actual problem, they should take care of it the appropriate way.”

And away we go with insane GOP tactics against Harris. I think TN needs to check the lead content in its water:

1. Tennessee congressman introduces impeachment articles against VP Harris

A Tennessee congressman has introduced articles of impeachment against Vice President Kamala Harris following President Joe Biden’s move to end his presidential campaign and endorse Harris to take over on Sunday.

Congressman Andy Ogles introduced the impeachment articles for “high crimes and misdemeanors.” The two articles were introduced on Tuesday for what he says is Harris’ refusal to uphold immigration laws and a breach of public trust.

“The articles cite her gross incompetence in dealing with the crisis at the southern border and her betrayal of the American people,” Ogles office said.

TN moron #2:

Rep. Tim Burchett: Vice President Harris and Secret Service director are both a 'DEI hire'

He used the same language to a CNN reporter about Vice President Kamala Harris, the first woman and first person of Black and Asian heritage to occupy the office and now the presumptive Democratic nominee for president. Harris served as a U.S. senator from California from 2017-2021 and the attorney general of California from 2011-2017 before she was elected vice president in 2020. Harris and President Joe Biden received more than 81.2 million votes, the highest total in American history by more than 8.6%.

“Biden said, first off, he’s going to hire a Black female for Vice President, and he just skipped over – what about white females, what about any other group? When you go down that route, you take mediocrity, and that’s what they have right now as the vice president,” Burchett told CNN’s Manu Raju. “100% she was a DEI hire,” he added. “Her record is abysmal at best.”

Biden never said he was going to "he’s going to hire a Black female for Vice President,"; what he said was:

“I commit that if I’m elected President and I have an opportunity to appoint someone to the courts, I’ll appoint the first black woman to the Court,” said Vice President Biden, meaning the Supreme Court. “If I’m elected President, my cabinet and my administration will look like the country, and I commit that I will in fact pick a woman to be Vice President. There are a number of women who are qualified to be president tomorrow. I would pick a woman to be my vice president.”

Akhck, I can already see what I'm in for for at least a few months, maybe a few years, depending on Harris winning: the equivalent of the only thing that would've been wrong with Bernie winning: watching people create a pseudo-possessive version of her name as if her name were "Harri" and there were more than one of her.
And another one I hadn't thought of myself before but got reminded of recently: watching people claim that everything anybody ever says that criticizes her (or even just fails to praise her enough) must always be because of racism or sexism or both.

A Reuters/Ipsos poll released Tuesday shows Harris now leading Trump by two percentage points—44 percent to 42 percent. Trump has led every other Reuters poll throughout June and July against both Biden and Harris.

When independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was included in the poll, Harris' lead grew to four points, with 42 percent of respondents backing her compared to 38 percent supporting Trump and 8 percent backing Kennedy, Reuters reported.

The polls are irrelevant since the popular vote is obviously gonna go the Dems. Only the swing states matter.
