Vance in Virginia on Harris

"What the hell have you done other than collect a government check for the past 20 years?"

Does he know Trump is going to blame him if he doesn't win?

I guess they do still use dog-whistles, sometimes.

********. What a pathetic excuse, even from a habitual contrarian such as yourself. You're telling us that a black person in his twenties whose grandparents moved to the U.S. during the mid '70s isn't an African American? You're going to tell us that he doesn't experience the effects of slavery, segregation, and racial discrimination? Are the effects of those things only experienced through genetic inheritance? Do racists distinguish between people whose ancestors were enslaved in the U.S. and those whose ancestors were enslaved in Jamaica, or whose ancestors came to the U.S. after segregation was struck down?

And your Bill Clinton hyperbole is literally one of the stupidest arguments I've seen on this forum. Who else is more African American than Kamala Harris? You, maybe?

Perhaps he's one of those racists that makes sure to research a person's ancestry before doing racism, unlike those racists that just look at skin tone.

And hypocrites. They crashed Grinder with too much traffic. Also, sex work gets a massive upswing wherever the RNC is held.

(Using your post as a bouncing off of point, not a direct rebuttal, fair?)

I've said this a lot but I think it's important and bears repeating.

It is very, very, very dangerous to think of this solely in the context of "hypocrisy."

It IS hypocrisy obviously. The Republicans are the biggest hypocrites ever.

But it doesn't STOP there. Their brand of "I can do whatever I want and you can't even if it's the same thing" isn't just hypocrisy, it's authoritarianism and that's a lot worse.

When a Republican runs screaming "YOUR FLY IS DOWN!" at you and they aren't even wearing pants you aren't going to shame them by pointing it out.

They know what they are doing. It's why all of them have a smug troll "Dare you do something about it" attitude.

I agree. This is along the same tactic that Putin uses to control his people. He says outright lies, everyone knows they are lies, but they agree with him that it is the truth. It's called Vranyo and is much worse than I summed up.

I listened to a Trump April speech about 25 min. He repeats a lot of phrases. Like every sentence he repeats it right away. Sometimes it is a pause for the clapping. He repeats what he just said to let them clap. But even past that the speaking is a little folksy in this way. Do people actually. Mostly the border, january 6th committee and Pelosi (they deleted all the records!). Russia, Ukraine, Putin. Keystone pipeline 48 000 jobs! (each state gets less than 100 permanent jobs.) All jobs are going to illegals. The black jobs!

What puzzles me is why would someone want to hear this speech in person ten times?

"It's only wrong if a Democrat/leftist/lib/porg does it."

I wonder what Trump's explanation for this is?
From Snopes:

Campaign finance records showed Trump donated $5,000 to Harris' reelection campaign for California attorney general in 2011. He also donated $1,000 to the same campaign in 2013. Separately, Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump donated $2,000 to Harris' reelection effort in California in 2014.

Snopes rating: TRUE

The Harris campaign could have a field day with this.

It would be fun if Harris refunded the Trumps that money with a note saying something clever like, "here's your money back, please use it for your diaper budget."

I'm waiting to see a citation to an actual law the Dems would have broke by nominating Kamala for president.

It's unfair because they already had their list of lies to use against Biden, and now they need a new list.

Pretty much admitting that they never have actual working policies of their own to promote, they just attack using fear and misinformation.

Conservatives want a world where they can tell other people what to do, and other people cannot tell them what to do.

Their hypocrisy isn't something they are unaware of or ignore. It's the main selling point.

Just wait till my girl TayTay comes out and endorses Kamala, as I'm certain she will.

The landslide will begin.

Well Trump was Democrat till 2009, and independent in 2011.

The $5,000 check was written on Sept. 26, 2011, while he was still a registered Republican. He became an Indie in Dec. 2011.

The $1,000 check was written on Feb. 20, 2013 while he was a Republican.

True to Trump form, he changes his party affiliation more often than he changes wives. From Wikipedia:

Trump registered as a Republican in Manhattan in 1987; since that time, he has changed his party affiliation five times. In 1999, he changed his party affiliation to the Independence Party of New York. In August 2001, Trump changed his party affiliation to Democratic. In September 2009, he changed his party affiliation back to the Republican Party. In December 2011, Trump changed to "no party affiliation" (independent). In April 2012, he again returned to the Republican Party.

Last night trump posted about the upcoming election on truth social. People are noting he refers to himself as "young" and wrote Kamala Harris' "pole numbers" are terrible.

I hadn't realized that there is a women's pole vault competition in the Olympics. However, pole vault is not an event in the women's heptathlon, so bad pole numbers probably won't hurt Harris too badly.

Because when you are old and/or stupid you crave the safety of the familiar.

:boggled:

What actually bothers me most about this is the fact trump uses this nonsense to avoid discussing actual issues in an intelligent grown-up way, and avoids discussing the specific policies he plans should he be elected.

Okay the border. So what is trump's plan? Build a wall, that's it?

Also, I'd say the border between the Koreas is a little more dangerous. Being a minefield and all. A former president should know that.

"One advantage Trump has over Harris...

He's much more vulgar and sleazy and vindictive
and insulting than she is

His followers are not going to flock to someone
more fundamentally decent and normal"

The plan isto put them all in camps and then...I guess... book about 50 000 planes to fly them home. Now...in the 4 years it takes to do that, another 10 million will have come in. I guess the lowest cost would be to bus the Mexican citizens home.
