In case it hasn't been mentioned yet:

I dreaded the 2020 election. This one is even more disheartening. Has anyone pondered what 2028 is likely to look like? Prolly AI holograms of these two again.
 
What 2028 looks like depends on how 2024 plays out.

If Biden should win, a Republican, any Republican, will win in2028. Probably with a majority in Congress to back them.
 
The problem is: we don't have "A Military".
We have the Top Brass, which is generally politically savvy enough to know that Presidents come and go, so it's best not to get involved with them. But there are notorious exceptions.
Then the have the Army Bases, and what they do might depend entirely on the political views of their Commander.

And then there are the enlisted men (mostly men) who get most of their information from Fox running 24/7 in the Mess Hall. Groups like the Oathkeepers have no problem recruiting from the Military, as many of them come pre-radicalized.

If Trump uses Flynn, former Oathkeepers and other loons with a military background to look for soldiers who would actually fight for him, they will find thousands if not tens of thousands.

Trump might not get "the military" for his coup if he wants one, but he would probably get a big chunk of it.

What did a Republican voter say about the 2024 election?

I'd rather vote for Biden with 81 years than Trump with 91 counts.

Trump hasn't really done anything to name or support a successor, even any of his nits that grew into lice. I expect those stupid mother ******* will destroy each other when the thing that spawned them dies.

Former President Trump is pulling more support than President Biden in at least seven swing states that are likely going to determine the election, a survey released this week found.

The Bloomberg News/Morning Consult poll found Biden trailing Trump in several critical states — Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada and Wisconsin — when voters were asked who they would support in a hypothetical general election. Large shares of the respondents voiced concerns with Biden’s age, while a significant percentage said Trump was dangerous.

Across all seven states, 48 percent of voters said they would back Trump, and 43 percent would back Biden. Trump’s lead appeared to be the strongest in North Carolina, where he is 9 points ahead of Biden — bringing in 50 percent support compared to Biden’s 41 percent.

No they don't. There's an entire genre of "Republicans pounce" press coverage. When a Republican screws up, that's the story, but when a Democrat screws up, the Republican response to the screwup is the story. Keep your eyes out for it, once you've seen the pattern it's hard to unsee.

The press is in panic mode about Biden specifically, and a lot of people on the left want him to drop out. That's why we're seeing an uptick in negative stories about him. That doesn't mean the press leans right. It absolutely doesn't.

I'm not sure how anyone can look at the Hunter Biden case and not recognize that they're protecting him.

It will likely be a close election decided by Independents. Hopefully Trump will say some stupid things at the end of the election that will give Biden just a slight enough advantage to win. We also need some sort of resolution to the Gaza crisis otherwise Jews will not be voting for Biden or might even vote for Trump. :(

Trump will say many stupid things. I guarantee it. The highlighted is very unlikely, more than a slight minority.

I'm starting to think that Dark Joe Brandon is about 15 years younger than Joe Biden. As if he uses less mental energy being himself rather than presenting a more civil facade.

Dark Joe is the best Joe.

Trump attends and participates in Nazi-friendly events. If there are enough people in this country to move the needle on the election that believe he is the better choice for Jewish people, then this country deserves another Trump presidency.

If he is willing to write a blank check to support Israel in all they do and give them all the funds they want, a lot of Jews will disregard his friendship with Nazis and vote for him.

The only way is to get rid of every party that made up the pre-genoicde coalition, remove the settlers from the West Bank and neutralise the IDF completely. At the moment the whole apparatus of the State of Israel is operating outside the rule of law and of morality.
