This kind of official report will bring more open concerns from other countries, perhaps even their leaders outright.

To rush him out there after a full day, at that hour, with the press was just total sabotage. I felt really bad for him.

I always thought their 'finding' the files was a way to get him not to run...but it didnt work. This one will. They wont do 25th...it is a long process anyway that puts things into too much limbo- and it isnt very dignified to him or the office.

Welcome soon to President Kamala! Who will be the VP? Better be a really good one to take over most of the work.
 
Just wondering if there’s any cynical media spin that the last four posters don’t immediately accept as reality.

Just noticed this post, sorry I was trying for satire, but having said that, Candace Owens has interesting energy.
I think left and right are being redefined with the culture wars
Gender
Critical race theory
DEI
and so on.

What fascinates me is the run off could plausibly be between one candidate in prison and the other in a dementia ward. Who saw that coming?

I don't really think that right wing canards and BS are actually redefining left and right, myself. That's not really their purpose, though. The purpose has more to do with distracting their target audience, keeping their target audience emotional and not really thinking, and pretending to be on their audience's side so they can use that trust to screw them over, which makes them all the more prone to being emotional and blaming the distractions, rather than the actual causes.

It's not really some new thing that the right manufactures crises, real and imaginary, as part of their strategy to get what they want - which usually involves large scale wealth redistribution into few hands.

At the speed things have been going, the former seems increasingly unlikely, however overwhelmingly Trump deserves such. The latter is even less likely, though, much as Trump is also a contender for being put in a dementia ward, by those standards. Quite possibly more likely than Biden.

Anybody But Cheeto von Tweeto thinking is pervasive. Like many here, I would not be surprised if there were significant bloodshed in Trump's second term, but I expect that to settle down by his third term.

Who is this “they” who are plotting Biden’s downfall? Are you privy to the decision-making that led to Biden holding a press conference about the records that “they” initially tried to stitch him up over?

To be fair he probably just misspoke. Perfectly fine people sometimes do this sort of thing except we are not constantly speaking contemporaneously while being recorded. He obviously is not at his mental prime but the real question is whether he knows his own limitations and delegates appropriately. Once you get down to it that is (aside from his not openly aspiring to dictatorship) why he's unquestionably more suitable than is Trump.

I mean, 80% mentally there Joe Biden is more capable as president than about 99.9% of the population. Including me.

The problem is oh my god the comic timing of it. It's just grim that my party has gotten to where all our presidential eggs are in this very old rickety looking basket a full nine months before the election.

I'm actively involved in rebuilding the party here. I'm done with lobbing criticism from the sidelines. I'm running as a Democrat in a Trump +40 district and that might get worse. Those that think I'm obnoxious now have no idea of how much of a prick I'm going to be about this sort of thing if I win by outperforming Biden by 50 points.

Sorry, but in a democracy then one will periodically have to deal with leaders who do not have wonderful intellects.

For example, just look at:

Ronald Reagan,
George Bush, Senior
George Bush, Junior
and of course,
Donald Trump.

Third, some of you all may remember the famous pledge that Bush Sr made during the 1988 Republican Convention where he avowed "Read my lips! NO NEW TAXES!". But by 1990 Bush Sr was raising taxes.

Fourth, Bush Sr was the one who started that stupid first war with Iraq.

For starters, that doesn't make him unintelligent.

Second, HW Bush graduated from Yale.

Third, he did what he believed right at the time. He raised taxes, which gave Perot an opportunity to run. At least he wasn't dumb enough to coerce a subordinate to suck his dick in the Oval Office and get caught.

Fourth. No. Saddam Hussein started that war. The US response had broad bilateral and international support for it.

... Also total BS that LBJ was somehow forced to escalate the Vietnam war. Presidents are responsible for their decisions. And no one on earth could have forced him.
