That's not bigotry. I'm white. An Irish American born in Iowa. I understand the advantages I was born with. And I understand the disadvantages African Americans face from law enforcement, bankers and the education system. I understand that women face discrimination as well. I worked in the tech industry for 30 years and it didn't escape me how few people of color are hired in my industry.

I find it amusing that those born with all the advantages of being white in a white dominated society whine as if they are getting a raw deal. I'll take being a white male in America to any alternative.

Well said, and I'll admit that I'll go to a black. or a woman, or even a Spanish or Asian vendor rather than one run and/or owned by a white guy because I'm an evil SOB /sarcasm

It's funny how so many non-liberals consider liberalism as an evil, socialistic cancer w/o realizing that a large portion of our society (in theory) is based on socialism, like law enforcement, fire departments, public schools, road repair and construction etc. etc.

I'm sure some folks might not agree with me, but I think that's because (like woke) they don't really know what socialism is or really means.

But treating people as individuals is not right-wing. It’s an example of the distorted view of “right wing” that I was talking about.

"Woke" is a made-up, all-purpose term that means "anything I have been programmed to dislike or hate".

And the highlighted part is the clue: It's lack of even a basic education in how their own country's government operates, let alone the intricacies and interactions of political movements, now and through time.

To be fair, I didn't know what socialism was either until I took a class on Russian History in college---got a 4.0 in it BTW.

It was one of my favorite classes, and the teacher knew how to teach it in an informative and intellectually humorous way.

The history behind the Vietnam war alone was fascinating.

In the US, and UK, Libertarians, however, are generally right wing, and there is often confusion between that term and Liberal (more so, as already noted, when both terms have different meanings in different countries).

Same. I only buy books written by BIPOC or women authors. White male authors can get bent. <insert halo emoticon here>
