No, his strategists think it might distract a few people for a short while if the Tory party claim that the BBC is biased, that way they won't be asked about the myriad ways in which the country is going to ****.

Not to me tion that it's an implied threat to the BBC not to let any of their journalists ask questions about the myriad ways in which the country is going to ****.

Why not both? It's red meat to the gammons and it's a reminder to the BBC, that the tories have the power to seriously screw over the corporation. Various tories have suggested more than once, that they could decriminalize not paying the license fee, which could have a nasty impact on the BBC finances.

I'm quite lucky living on main road - I do get letters delivered 6 days a week. Lots of my friends who live down the more rural lanes etc. say they are lucky to get a delivery 3 days a week now. According to my regular postie RM are not employing enough postfolk to be able to deliver to all routes 6 days a week. So they are already in effect no longer keeping to their regulated delivery commitments. And as ever it's not how they can do that it's how they can have their cake and dividends.

Nicola Sturgeon's descriptions of various politicians.

Matt Hancock - "weaker than a Nun's piss"
Liz Truss - "about as much use as a Marzipan Dildo"
Suella Braverman - "◊◊◊◊◊◊◊"
Boris Johnson - "A ******* clown"

Pretty hard to argue with any of that, unless to suggest it's a little over complimentary.

Bums!

It turns out that it was a post from a satire site.

What she actually said

Speaking at the inquiry - which is currently sitting in Edinburgh - she was shown messages from 31 October 2020 between her and Ms Sturgeon on the same evening as Mr Johnson announced a fresh lockdown for England.

Ms Sturgeon said his address to the nation was "(expletive) excruciating" and that the UK government's communications were "awful".

She told Ms Lloyd: "His utter incompetence in every sense is now offending me on behalf of politicians everywhere."

Ms Lloyd then said she was "offended" on behalf of all special advisers to which Ms Sturgeon replied: "He is a (expletive) clown."

I always said she was a good judge of character. Pity it's not real.

Some of it is. Https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news...-boris-johnson-a-clown-uk-covid-inquiry-hears
Nicola Sturgeon described Boris Johnson as “a ******* clown” as he broadcast to the nation to announce a second Covid lockdown in October 2020, telling her chief of staff: “His utter incompetence in every sense is now offending me on behalf of politicians everywhere.”

Michelle Mone has had her assets frozen.

Her and her husband have had £75 million in assets frozen or subject to restrictions. Call me a cynic but the below suggests larger assets are still available and the phrase "not short of a bob" springs to mind.

Guardian article said:
The court order was “a result of a consensual process during which negotiations took place with the CPS”, a spokesperson for Mone and Barrowman told the FT.

“It allows the wider businesses and assets of the Barrowman family to operate normally and free from any restrictions or uncertainties.

Rees-Mogg on his show claiming that the 'lax attitude' to cannabis is the reason for crime and all our social ills.
