If the idea is to expel one to intimidate, I hope the Dems have the guts not to be.
Or maybe they saw the amount of bad press this was generating after the first one was expelled. It was so bad even a couple of conservative commentators were denouncing it.

It not just stupidity, it is the way a banana republic operates.
The GOP you grew up with , and which I occasiionally voted for, is dead.

I just hope we can get a reasonable oppostion party to the Democrats to rise from the ashes.

No it was not, it seceded from the Union and joined the Confederacy.
Granted, it was the first state that seceded to have it state Capitol fall to the Union, but it sure as hell was a Confederate state; it was the biggest battleground state except for Virginia.
You might be confusing it with Kentucky, which did not secede.

The two who were expelled were Afro Americans; the one who was not was White.
God, they are not make any effort to hide they want to bring Jim Crow back.
I hope all of the Dems resign. It is not like they can do any good anyway and they can throw the state into chaos..which in this case is a good thing.
Tennesee...and any product coming from Tennesee are dead to me.
This has to be be stopped....by any means necessary, to quote Malcolm X.

The Tennessee legislature is so overwhelmingly Republican that they can probably get a quorum without any Democrats, so walking out probably would not have much positive effect and would remove any advocacy for progressive issues.

And you admit that progressive issues have no chance anyway, so what the hell good does advocating for them do?
You do not get what is at stake there. This is a blatent attempt to bring back Jim Crow.This is fascism. No time for playing nice of half measures.
Let the Dems quit, and make it clear what the GOP is doing in Tennesee.
Staying is de facto supporting the expulsions.
Time for Politics as usual is over.
Problem is too many people are not willing to fight for what they beleive, but want it handed to them. Does not work that way.
This is no time for cowards and playing nice with the Fascists.

Completely unconscionable, completely indefensible, completely disgusting.

The tragedy is, it's not just one or two bad apples. It's around half the effing barrel, that's either gone rotten, or sits there at the bottom enabling the rotting maggot-infested monstrosity, and are indirectly and morally just as responsible, just as culpable.

It's tragic, that things should have come to this. The country's doomed, or close to it. How long can you keep fighting against half of yourself, desperately holding the lid down?

Crooks that profit from this sort of thing, the Trumps of the world, are one thing; but the pathetic losers that, to their own detriment, enable this sort of thing, the real actual "cucks", have a lot to answer for.
 
what is shocking to me is how obvious the optics are. The two blacks are expelled, the white remains.But they went ahead and did it.
And people wonder why I am not opmistic about this ending peacefully.

Well, not that simple. I could move, but one more move...not likely. I've lived in 8 states. Only one is consistently democrat, several are of the Wisconsin type. Gerrymandered.
