Can't wait to see how Killtown's spazzes when he finds out that you literally called the cops on him. Agreed, jhunter. And I also concur with those who have said above that it was appropriate to pass along the message that you did to the police to let them deal with it if and as they see fit.

It was a tough decision in many ways, because on the one hand, he's done nothing criminal just by being the disgusting lowlife that he is, seeking to use Ms. Jovin's horrific murder to further his own delusional conspiracy agenda.

On the other hand, there is a very real possibility of Ms. Jovin's family members or friends - who are real people, not anonymous conspiracy lunatics like KillKlown - happening upon a myspace page that purports to be hers.

Given the creepy manner in which it's written as though she is alive, "in a relationship" and seeking to "network"; given that it is done for all the wrong reasons by KillKlown and his sidekick, given the pain and angst that happening upon it would likely cause Ms. Jovin's family and friends; and given the choice between contacting her family directly (and possibly causing them unnecessary harm just by drawing their attention the conspiracy fantacists' ugly use of their deceased daughter to further their lunatic agenda), it was really a tough decision, but in the end, I think the right one.

It is obvious that he did not contact Ms. Jovin's family to seek or obtain their consent before using Ms. Jovin and her horrific death for his own purposes, and it is obvious that he doesn't give a damn at all about Ms. Jovin or her family. The depths to which KillKlown will sink apparently have no limits.
Though that shouldn't be surprising, since he's displayed repeatedly that he has no respect for the victims of September 11, 2001 either.

I notice that he's also spread his myspace page link around to other tinhat sites and has been diligently posting on wiki and answers.com etc., to try to get it and his own blog, of course, linked all over the place for his own purposes. Sickening to the extreme.

I know some police officers who are involved in special projects relating to internet child pornography and, as such, they have the ability to track down just about anybody on the internet in no time flat, and I have been mulling over the idea of telling them about KillKlown and asking them to locate and identify him, on the side, as a favour. I know that they would do it without hesitation, but it would be inappropriate, of course, since he is not, to my knowledge at least, a child pornographer. Still, it's tempting. Lucky for him, my professionalism prevents me from using these resources for improper purposes. I might revisit the idea if he keeps it up, though. Of course, I wouldn't "out" his identity here, so I'm sure I'm not breaking any rules here - just thinking out loud.

You know, we wouldn't be making any fuss over this if we had any suspicion that Killtown would be just as content to bring her killer to justice if it was just some random mugger or something, and not related to 9-11.

Well, yes, that is exactly the point. He is using this young woman's death to further his delusional 9/11 conspiracy agenda. That is exactly what makes it so objectionable. Well, that and posting a myspace page in Ms. Jovin's name - for his own twisted purposes - and filling it in as though she was alive and as though he has any idea about her thoughts, her personal life, her aspirations, and all without ever seeking the consent of her surviving family members to do so.

Jhunter called the detective on the case, not exactly the same thing as calling 9-1-1. He thought that would be the best way for the family to be informed of Killtowns page on their daughter. He wasnt calling the cops on IllClown....

This is about

1) Respect for a murder victim
2) Respect for her family

Her family and loved ones are the only ones morally capable of making any memorial decisions.

3) Preventing Killtown from interferring in an active murder investigation.

The Authorities (with appropriate knowledge and consent of the victim's family) are the proper ones making any decisions on how to publicise (or not) the crime. Informing them of Killtowns' abhorrent behavior is the proper course of action.

If Killtown's actions cause a bunch of nut-jobs to cloud and interfere with the investigation or disturb the family in any way, then Killtown could be considered guilty (morally speaking) of conspiracy after the fact.

This is not about "not liking what someone's saying." If you cannot understand this then you have allowed your CT thinking to deprive you of your humanity and basic decency.

This made me think. Killtown is suspicious of the persons death. You'd think he'd welcome talking to the police. You'd think he would have made the that call. That is if he was an honest person doing honest work, instead of the coward that he is.
 
what makes people like KT and TC not think about it from their point of view? That if it were their daughter, who was murdered; would they be happy if some punk on the net tied her murder loosely to tragic events that happened 3 years after the fact?

REally, I do hope that someone sues KT . All this "skating by being anonymous" has to prove that you can't get away with libeling and stalking just because you use the net as your sounding ground.

No only a dolt would think it is bad to call the cops! The police may know if the parents want the kind of coverage Killtown brings to the table! If the parents do not care checking with the police is a good buffer not to piss off the parents outright!

So you check in with the police they may already have the green light to go with anything! But the veiled junk killtown made up to go with the murder may get him a little looksee from the police and the FBI; did you guys see the FBI was checking on some stuff! I hope you CTers who have jumped on board with killtown are clean in mind and bodies cause you have entered the investigation by making up ideas about it.

I can see you now Killtown; "knock knock" town says who is there, "the FBI mr Ktown" the fbi says killT, "yes the FBI"

So Killtown as you have plastered your theories all over the internet where the NSA bot is gathering your info right now and what is that car, and the suits outside your door....
