WWu777

How about "Vomitus", descriptive, totally without redeeming value, odorous, best dealt with by flushing down the toilet.

I don't see any reason why any Mod Op (hey, that sounds nice...I'll trademark it!) should not be done in public.
um... see all that stuff above? That's why.

A urinating ant.

My God, I thought I'd heard everything. Claus Larsen, I'm seeing a side to you that I never would have thought existed. It's no damn wonder you're open to the idea of mediums. Anybody that knows a fancy term for a urinating ant MUST have somewhat of a screwball mind.
How about "micturating". Can I be a screwball too?

I've never really understood the almost pathological need of some people to go through all the trouble of joining a list, group, forum, etc., then going to great lengths to harrass, badger, bother, annoy, and generally irritate the other people there--either by flagrantly ignoring the rules, or by 'playing dumb' about them-- resulting in the subsequent blocking, banning, and removal of said person.

Is that some warped badge of honor, being labelled a trouble-maker & getting kicked out?

It's all in the point of view, isn't it.

A bunch of us joined Homeopathy Home and H'pathy Forums with the intention of conducting a rational and critical scientific debate about the validity of homoeopathy. We all got banned, and what they said about us was pretty much verbatim what I quoted from Temporal Renegade. But by our lights we were (reasonably) polite people trying to have a rational debate.

Rolfe.

I think there's a difference between joining a group to discuss things reasonably (after all, here we have Believers and Non-Believers getting into religious discussions, and all seem--for the most part--respectful of each other and their opinions).

There's nothing wrong with going to a forum to try & have a logical discussion; but, if the sole reason someone joins, is just to cause disention and trouble, then yes, it's a problem. One hates to use the "T" Word (you know, sounds like 'roll', but with a T), as that sometimes brings them out of their lairs...

Personally, I think you did the right thing in trying to talk reasonably & logically to them. When it comes to 'medicine', I'll get mine from a doctor, thank you very much!

By the way, like the avatar. It looks like our cat! :)

I don't know if anyone who hadn't played Dungeons and Dragons will fully understand this, but...

How about 'Kobald'?

Not the ones from folklore, the DnD ones. They are nastly little doglike reptillian people known for cowardice and thier annoying yappy barks.

And they only have 1/4 of a hit dice...

Slime molds are nastier but have more hit dice I think that troll is an adequate term, they seem to heal whenever you attack them and tuen to stone and change the subject when confronted with the light.

I like piss-ant!

I see WWu777 has rejoined us. I'm bumping this to make sure the warning was received (even though claims of having not seen it aren't a defence).

Actually, figtertype, they're kobolds.

Right you are, Toasty. :book: My bad.

Spelling has never been my forte, and 'Kobold' is not common enough for my spell checker to catch.

Get serious, guys. Trolls are the entertaining part of the forum. We all love to hate them. Most of us feed them. And that's good. We need trolls to highlight the difference between critical thinkers and credulous ninnies.

Be grateful for trolls. They give our struggles purpose.

Trolls are the staff of life!

Mmm.... trolls.

I'm afraid your name is not funny enough, Tricky. The name "Tricky" is just too plain. But Flodin? Well, that's another forum.....My God, I stumbled on that info weeks ago and it STILL causes a laughing jag......:big:

Well, I for one am extremely curious as to how his symposium in Switzerland went.

In case he doesn't let us know, did anyone here astral-project to it, and can they give us a report?:D
