Women's Cycling Champion is a Man

Much, much closer than in humans.

In British flat racing, 63% of horses are male, while 37% are female. It's a similar story for the overwhelming number of male winners -- 67% compared to just 33% for the girls.
Even in America's most prestigious horse race -- the Kentucky Derby -- only three fillies have won in the competition's 138-year-history.
Racing's battle of the sexes

What bad argument did I make? That segregation in many of the sports that first became organised 100 or so years ago was because of attitudes about what was suitable for women? I've presented evidence for that or do you not believe the FAs own official history?

Do you have a reading comprehension problem? I specifically stated that your error was in claiming a causal relationship between that prior history and specific aspects of current conditions. You have no where presented any evidence for such a causal relationship, and strong evidence for other explanations has been presented which you simply ignored.

This bit is the problem

The fact is now in the professional era with elite athletes, womens football is just a bit crap to watch compared mens

Like womens rugby, or rowing, or pick most sports

And in this new age money goes to those who point the most eyeballs towards the screen

I would take issue with you that female participation isn't encourage by the way.

They just aren't as saleable

Star power makes sports salable. You can make the argument that women’s hockey was more relevant and compelling than men’s hockey in the last Olympics. The women’s tournament was best on best while the men were best outside the NHL meaning that except for a few exceptions the 1000 or so best players in the world were not there. The mend that were there were undoubtedly better than the women, but they were not stars. The result was that even with passing familiarity with women’s hockey, the women’s tournament was MUCH more interesting to many.

Same with beach volleyball at the Olympics. The women's event gets much more coverage than the men's because there is a bigger TV audience wanting to watch fit young women jumping around on a beach than there is wanting to watch fit young men doing the same.

And the minute you allow men to compete as women, that TV audience is going to vanish.
