Probably midway through his second term.

2016: There's no way Donald Trump is gonna be elected.
2017: Wait, President Trump is doing what? Isn't that a war crime? What, no dial tone at the Hague?!
2018: I think the trick is going to be farming mushrooms underground until all this atmospheric dust settles out in a few years.

I know you don't notice nor care what drivel spews from your Führer's mouth, but other will notice and care. And they will point finger and laugh. A lot of laugh.

If you are butthurt now, think about how much time is left to November. Think about many, many, many times when Trump will say something that any sane, normal human will recognize as complete idiocy. And they will call him on it. Your eyes will fall out of sockets from all that rolling. :p

Your God-Imperator already descended to CT level (that fast? wow, I thought he will do it after lost election). It will get only worse.

This made me a lot of laugh.

I think in the weeks before the election when he is down big in the polls and the Republicans have completely abandoned him, he is going to meltdown extremely hard. He will be attacking the Republicans and the media and barely even mentioning Hillary and spouting off increasingly bizarre nonsense/conspiracy theories.

I can't wait.

I sympathize; but sadly predictions of like nature regarding Trump's run have failed consistently to this point.

That's because people overestimated Republican primary voters. Not me though, I knew they were stupid, crazy, bigoted, authoritarian followers. General election is a whole different ballgame and Trump has already proven himself to be extremely incompetent in running a GE campaign (well, actually he hardly has a campaign). It is only going to get worse from here.

I think you will find that Trump's opponents' runs, up until now, have been consistently worse than his. Which, considering the egocentric jingle-belled shambles his campaign is proving to be, makes them look like the total non-starters we always knew they were. In short, he has been head-and-shoulders higher than the others in a mental midget competition.

This would all be far more entertaining if I hadn't overestimated US voters for letting Trump get this far and my lingering uncertainty that they'll let him get farther.

I think the implosion has begun...maybe it begun with his response to the Orlando shootings...
I think it began before that, with his criticism of the "Mexican" judge handling the lawsuit against Trump University.

Consider:
- He was widely criticized by both democrats AND republicans
- It was an extremely clear-cut case of Trump screwing up. (Not that I agree with Trumps response to the Orlando shootings, but he will have supporters who might agree with his "Obamas fault for not handling terrorism" stance.)
- It highlights one of the many failures in Trump's past, something I'm sure he'd rather people overlook.

And the collatrieal damage to other GOP candidates will be bad.
Sadly, that doesn't seem to happen much in the U.S. At the same time that Obama was getting voted in, the republicans seemed to solidify their support in congress.

Perhaps people don't pay as much attention to their congress-critters. Or maybe they'll vote GOP in order to "balance out" having a democrat as president.

I agree, this was the start of it. Up until this incident there were people defending him as putting on a pinhead act for the Tea Party rubes, to be dropped the instant it became politically advantageous to do so.

Then this comes around, and instead of doing the 180 everyone said was coming, he doubles down and directly insults the judge of his freakin' trial. This wasn't politics, he wasn't grandstanding, he shouldn't have said it. But he did. Then Orlando happens, and he steps in it again. And again.

All this might not have come as a surprise to us, but what we're seeing now is the slow withering of the disaffected whose emotional investment is finally unable to overcome their better judgment.
