Good morning all! Welcome to the first monthly Stundie final for 2008!

It was a tricky batch to wade through this time, but in the end I came out with 13 absolutely golden finalists.

And yeah, they're all from January. Lets not start that again...

So now, let me present for you - Teh Stundies!

#1 - Turns out the towers shouldn't have collapsed because...
...the top part should bounce back. Elementary. Giga powers! But it is like a feather falling on a straw.

Physics.

#2 - Every tragedy is, of course, a conspiracy.
Did Nicholson have Ledger killed because he didn't want to be dethroned as the Joker? It's probably too late for that, as production of the movie was finished. Perhaps, Nicholson warned Ledger not to take the role and repercussions were taken. Afterall, everyone thought it was weird that Ledger was chosen, it could be that a lot of other people turned down the role for this reason, but Ledger took the risk of taking the role.

#3 - Not the greatest comparison to draw, methinks...
These gullible believers of the official version (GBOTOV) remind me of the atheist who wants people to believe that law and orderliness does not require intelligent direction and that something can come from nothing.

Absolutely ludicrous!!!!

#4 - JFK was...huh...what now?
The magic number is infinite. There will always be lies to be defeated. The fight for truth is eternal....

But, as a reference, recall that it took thirty some odd years after JFK's assassination before Michael Collins Piper's book Final Judgment blew the lid off the mystery and exposed the plot as an Israeli/Zionist operation.

#5 - Seems like someone mixed up their fatwas with their jihadists...
You mean the same fatwas that were all well known by the FBI and who were trained at US Military Bases?

#6 - Apparently '[sic]inherrently unstable' means 'able to stand on its own'...
Incapable of standing on their own?
Then architect must be lying when he says
"Parts of the core indeed stood for a few seconds after the rest of structure collapse, but were inherrently unstable - see my note about the interlinked nature of the structure previously."

#7 - Welcome to the part of the Stundies I like to call, 'Bush crazy'!
Both W's grandfathers (Walker and Bush) were working in direct collaboration with Hitler and the Nazi regime for several years. Both as fraternal brothers of Hitler and Hess, through Chapter 322 Skull and Bones/German Thule Society, and industrial-financial go between for banking families, such as the Rothschilds and US based Morgan family (Morgan-Stanley financial empire). FDR finally had to seize their US assets when the US finally declared war on Germany. Those men directly aided and abetted Hitler's rise to power in Germany.

#8 - That's how we'll show those pesky aliens! A world wide militia of truthers!
In response to the lack of response by the Governments of the world and in case of an off world attack, the people of the world should unite to create a world wide militia base here in the United States. Participating members would contribute funds to a trust that can be used to manage the daily affairs of the militia. If business got real good we can even have salary positions beyond the weekend training etc....It might sound strange, but it works in theory as a rook against being caught with our pants down.

#9 - So...a police state is a good thing?
One of the defining characteristics of a police state is dare lack of qualified police. The police there are generally not very good at catching anybody except people who don't even hide much.

Hence stating that the authorities' failure to apprehend Bollyn means anything is, in light of the above, meaningless.

#10 - The title of the article says it all...
Is 9/11 Truth "Fundamentalism" Holding Back 9/11 Truth? Are We Constipated?

#11 - Somehow in the mind of this truther, Pr(x) = 0 doesn't rule out the possibility of x...
You say there is a low probability, i say there is no probability, only a remote possibility.

#12 - This guy should have written for the Wachowski brothers. Well, for the second and third movies, anyway.
Truth is Confused For sure

9/11 was not what it seemed.
The problem is in thinking that the USA is the Empire when the USA while in the Matrix of Empire is in fact not the seat of Empire.
It's takes an intuitve mind to discern the true home of Empire. Start by finding the Common denominator.

#13 - Reliable sources, I'd say...
If the sources are to be believed, U.S. President George Bush’s government will resign, before his term expires, and will be replaced by an interim regime headed by Al Gore. This will start a 2-3 year transition period during which suppressed technology, such as free energy, will be released and a new system for running the planet will be implemented, according to these two sources. “They [The illuminati] know their rule is ending but they do not want it to end in an ugly way,” the security police source says.

...At the same time, an anti-Rothschild alliance has been formed in Tokyo. They warn that the entire Bush regime was probably set up as a “bad cop” to scare people in the arms of the EU “good cop.” They say there may be other surprises, possibly including a fake UFO invasion that Henry Kissinger hinted at during the 1991 Bilderberg meeting. “We will have to look at least four or five steps ahead in order to keep on top of these people,” the alliance says.

Well, I'll be in the secret chamber drinking from the fountain of youth if anybody needs me. Don't tell Karl

Rove, but I need to borrow his towel. Mine has the blood of innocents on it.

#1 is #1!

Just the idea that someone would actually suggest that a 110 story building should bounce back like one of those inflatable bouncy castles.....:boggled:

Number 8!

Don't get caught with your pants down!??!

"It might sound strange, but it works in theory as a rook against being caught with our pants down."

I almost went with Nicholson for the variety, but man, that last one! Al Gore taking over for three years, and pushing us all into the arms of the EU!

Had to be the pacifist militia to protect us from the threat of alien invaders.
I thought of voting for iAmerican's craziness, but that would be a bit too much like mocking the mentally ill

Interesting analogy... Perhaps we should build a 110-story bouncy castle!

For those birthday parties where you invite 60,000 friends! Or, perhaps, a bar mitzvah?

Wow! A "baker's dozen" of stundie finalists! Was it baked with therm*te! (or just half baked)....:p
I gotta pick #2 'cause everyone knows Batman was an inside job....:p

I still like the idea that a truther would think that something that was inherently unstable could stand on its own . . .

I think I recognise #1 from the style. If I'm right, I think his entire body of work should be taken into consideration, making this the only January choice for me.

I Cannot believe my "experts make things hard to understand" didn't make the list.

Then I read the list. And I understood.

Then I read the list. And I understood.

There were some ones that I cut out to limit the poll to thirteen choices - while there were a lot of good noms, you can generally tell which ones are going to have a chance.

Perhaps I should have led the Heath Ledger CT off instead...it doesn't seem to be doing too well. But it's one that's a bit closer to my heart. Eh, sue me. :D

Everytime I read #1 I hear Doc Brown yelling, "1.21 Giga-Powers!" and Marty asking "what the hell is a 'giga power?'"

I was torn between the gigapowers and the truther militia. Finally went with the militia just for the sheer hilarity of the idea of these slobs actually getting off their duffs and finding out what the military is all about in terms of physical labor. Right now, the worst military entity in the world could kick their butts and not even break a sweat.
