What REALLY happened in Japan?

Hmmm, a giant wave appears from the ocean near Japan, there's trembling in the earth and a bunch of buildings get knocked down...now all of a sudden we're told to disregard a sudden wave of radiation readings coming from their country? It's all just a series of unfortunate coincidences...

Occam's Razor people.
If it can do that to Japan I'm not shaving with it.

Octopus? That thing only had 5 legs.
Now if we could find Mega-Shark and get them to fight we'd all be safe...

BTW when asked.at a Sci FI convention in the 80's about why the monsters in "It Came From Beneath The Sea" only had 5 legs Ray Harryhausen was honest:That was all they could afford.
To animate 8 Tenticles using stop action would have sent the film over budget, a big no no for what was a low budget Sci fi film in the Fifties, and to have three Tentacles never moving would have ruined the effect. So they did with five.

Hell, I never even noticed that. :boxedin:

According to my dad, Nikola Tesla is indirectly responsible for the disaster in Japan by inspiring the U.S. government to build a mysterious space-ray machine called HAARP that causes the sun to emit earthquake-causing solar flares.

After all, if HAARP could cause earthquakes, wouldn't they be the last ones to tell you that?

Your father needs help, sad to say.

I think she needs to upload videos of her dad to youtube lol.

Pfft, yeah right. If he found out I was taping his rants, then he'd use this as proof that people are conspiring against him. And if I honestly convinced him to post his rants to YouTube, and I posted them here, I think he'd find out sooner or later that I frequent this site, and that would not go over well with him.

It would be funny though.

I've read many of your posts concerning your father's beliefs. I'm pretty sure others have already said it, but it sounds like he needs medical help. Otherwise, I hope when you're old enough and get the chance, you leave home and get away from that environment. I'm not trying to sound mean or anything, but it sounds like a very unstable situation.

I joined the Navy and left for boot camp fourteen hours after graduating from High School. I would have left in January, when I turned eighteen, but the program I wanted required a diploma. Getting away from my looney old man was job one for me.

Wow, I'm sure you have some interesting stories.

Oh, I definitely plan on leaving the state when I go to college. And maybe when I have enough money, leave the country.
