'Killers' guarding Sudan refugees - 21 September, 2004
Arab militiamen responsible for atrocities in Sudan's Darfur region are now guarding camps for the displaced, a UN official has been told by refugees. Refugees in different camps in North Darfur have said this to United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Louise Arbour, she told the BBC.

The militiamen have been recycled into Sudan's police force, she said.
What an novel way to disband the Janjaweed militia responsible for genocide and rape on a vast scale...make them paid Sudanese policemen...now that's thinking outside the box.

Gosh all this good news make me all warm and fuzzy inside.

The relivace being? It's hardly major seceat that I don't like sudan. I do find the potrayal of the the conflict a little on sided but then the conflict is extreamly one sided so I can live with that.
