Which is just what the US gestapo-equivalent did in Iraq but without such teutonic subtleties.

You mean the US could improve on German work ethics?

Seriously, I think you're overdoing it when you use Nazi vocabulary to label actions of the US army in Iraq. You haven't even referred to a particular incident.

It is sad.

Jon who was once a thoughtful and learned poster has now moved into full-fledged troll status.

And you know what they say about feeding trolls...

Regardless of what the topic is, you have to be very careful when you start bringing Nazi analogies into the debate.
I've rarely seen such analogies work in a debating scenario.

How many times have you heard someone say "Well, that's how it started in Nazi Germany."

"when you start bringing Nazi analogies into the debate"

Just like the warmongers did comparing Saddam to Hitler. That one got a damn good airng.

The brave resistance fighters are exactly that. They are fighting the occupation of their homeland by a foreign imperialsit aggressor. That is a fact!

Just out of curiosity, how many of the people fighting the "occupation" are actualy Iraqis? I remember, close to the end of the war, there were reports of large numbers of Syrians, Palestinians, etc. arriving in Iraq. (In fact, at times they provided more resistance than the Iraqis did.)
