Yes, people are still talking about VfF, for some reason. Allow me to add one further thought. I think that when you say VfF, you have to pronounce both f's, like this:

VfF, pronounced "Vee-ff-ff".

I just stopped by VFF's site, and I threw up a little bit in my mouth. If anyone ever had any doubt about what a manipulative attention seeker she is, I invite you to review some of her latest writings. For example, she has decided to become a breatharian "again." Here's her explanation:

http://visionfromfeeling.wordpress.com/2010/08/27/im-seeing-the-light/
Why am I trying to replace Breatharianism with Skepticism, when skeptics do all they possibly could to harm me and to keep me away? I guess we all need to belong to something, to have a community with people. Skepticism doesn’t welcome me. Breatharianism does.

All her claims of disavowing breatharianism are the lies most of us knew them to be. She said what she thought skeptics wanted to hear because it would bring her attention. Now that she's not getting our attention, she's going back to it. She's blaming skeptics because, well, that should bring her some attention? And she's making sure we all know about it (there was no need for the announcement).

Fortunately, in Google StopVFF is already #1 for Alenara Breatharian and #2 for Alenara. I ask any bloggers out there to link to my blog entry about Alenara the Breatharian (using those words in the link) in the hopes that we can supplant her page as #1. Everything else is in place, though I might write a few articles about the stupidity of breatharianism in general.

Does anyone else remember when she wrote, "Ahem. I am not a psychic, nor do I attempt to be" a few months ago? Well, now she has a new section on her website talking about giving psychic reads. The reason? It's our fault. "Well, now that the skeptical community has shut me out and is not giving me any more tests..."

Oh, and she's off and running with the ghost thing. I love this quote, "I am not embarrassed about confessing that I do indeed see ghosts, and by doing so as a future physicist not a woo (woo is an experiencer, practitioner, or promoter of pseudoscience) makes me kind of a pioneer."

Fortunately, her website is now becoming the best source for exposing her for the unstable woman she is. While StopVFF is the #1 hit in Google for Anita Ikonen, her own website is nowhere to be found. If any bloggers out there could link to her site using the keywords Anita Ikonen, that would be great. Her own words in many ways do a better job than StopVFF.

Well, if she wants to go where she's welcome, she should definitely hook up with as many paranormal, breatharian, ghost hunting groups as she can. She will be accepted---not because there's anything special about her, but because they accept anything. They don't seek proof. They just accept what anyone says. They believe what they read. They believe what they hear from the pulpit. They believe what ghost hunters on night vision say they see. Say it, and they believe it.

The biggest laugh is that she wants to be tested by them. What for? They already believe her. They require no proof. What possible interest would they have in testing her?

Since they'd rather believe than seek proof, that makes them lazy slobs. What paranormal group is going to go to the work of setting up even a rudimentary test? The www.iigwest.org could barely pull it off. The JREF clearly tried to have a real test, but they could not pull it off. The Swedish group, www.vof.se tried to do something, but (for whatever reason) it did not happen. That test was going to be a simple binary test to figure out if she could see internal organs well enough to identify the gender of a person.

The test did not happen and now she refuses to even entertain the idea of doing such a simple test again.

I think she would find the skeptical groups lining up to test her if she would just be willing to have a test that did not require an army of people who would track down people missing organs.

For example, she'd get lots of attention from skeptical groups if she'd submit to a test to differentiate chemicals. She would not even need to get even close to 100%. She would just have to do significantly better than chance. It'd be easy for her and easy for them. She could go from group to group and everyone would be fascinated by her and set up a simple test and she'd be the center of attention wherever she went.

Instead, she chooses to align with paranormal groups who will never test her because they don't want/need tests to believe, and also they are too lazy to set up a complex test.

She says that breatharianism is her religion. Well, I believe in freedom of religion, but I think she should also declare seeing kidneys as her religion and seeing dinosaur ghosts and communicating with bigfoot and sensing acidopholus in cereal and etc., etc.. She should hide behind religion by declaring all of that part of her religion. Religion requires no proof. The more proof there is, the less faith is required. The faith to proof ratio is the same as the religion to science ratio.

So she is off to other groups where they don't want things like proof or evidence. I don't even understand why she's going back to school. She's already a guru. Nothing she learns in school will help her there. She should save her money.

She's really spinning out of control.

She applies the "pioneer" label to all of her woo, in one form or another - ghosts, breatharianism, the correlation between diet and health, health perceptions. She even applies it to her current undergrad studies, hinting at "discoveries" (or knowledge she brought with her from K-Pax) that are so cutting edge she "dare not publish" them in case someone "steals" them.

Yet Anita isn't narcissistic. Oh, no.

Ever since VFF lost the ability to deal with skeptics personally, her writings have become even more exaggerated. It's almost like she's trying to provoke people into a response.
Apparently, it works.

It's all your fault:

One being that Jim Carr made sure that I be connected to it again, the other is that the skeptical movement – now that all the tests are over with – is revealing its true light.

And the "skeptical movement" and Mark Edwards and anybody but Anita.

Where you see them becoming more exaggerated, I simply see the continuation of the same pattern I've seen since she arrived.

How is what she's doing now any different than in December 2009 when she posted in the public forums that I was ignoring her and demanding that I respond to the PMs and Facebook chat invitations she sent to me the night before?

How is it any different when she decided to tell us that she couldn't answer the question, "Are you human?" and proceeded to tell us that she was an alien incarnation from Arcturus?

How is it any different than her story about Dr. Carlson's missing kidney where she claimed several days later that she "really did" detect it but just didn't tick the "Missing Kidney" box on the form or say anything at the time?

Hell, if you go back through her writings as Alenara you see the same pattern. She kept writing more and more including announcing a book. After a long period of being quiet (I wonder where she was during that time) she announced that she had found prana!

She always says whatever she thinks will bring her the most attention at the time, whether it's it's threatening lawsuits, flirting sexually, or claiming that she's dying. Nothing she is doing now is new. Hopefully, it's just more obvious to those who failed to see the pattern before.

I agree with UncaYimmy. Vee-ff-ff is losing her skeptical audience after several conspicuous failures, so she's starting to move back into the woo world. If I were really cynical, I would say that she's used her skeptical experience to hone her schtick to make it more credible to the lost souls who populate that arena.

Good thing I'm not that cynical.

Anita is woman currently living in Sweden who claims that she can see missing internal organs.

Ha! Argue that! :D

Actually, she claims that she can see when organs are missing, not that she can see the missing organs. :D
